What's going on with all the CB guys showing up? Oh, never mind, I forgot that if you criticize BYU, Jefe and his ilk start looking for reasons to give you a suspension. There are a couple articles out ther about the Big East meeting to expand quickly. East Carolina and UCF are expected to be invited shortly and perhaps Navy as well.

I knew they wouldn't just let Big East football go away, but I doubt this is enough to save their BCS AQ status and probably won't be enought to keep Louisville and West Virginia either. My feeling is WV is already gone...they're just waiting to see if it's SEC or Big 12. I also read somewhere that Petino really wants Louisville to stay in the Big East, but I don't think he'll get his way.

I think the Big East gets to keep the AQ status regardless. Kind of like they were grandfathered into it or something. WVU will replace MU whether its in the Big-12 or the SEC. The other lucky Big-East team if WVU goes to the BIg-12?

Maybe you're right, but if armagedeon happens for them and UCONN gets in to the ACC, and Louiville and WV leave, they're left with Cincy and USF as their anchor football programs (I guess throw Rutgers in there too). That's a really weak conference.

I think Louisville is probably gone as well. They seem like a logical choice for the Big 12 and we all know football drives the bus so they'll go to a better football opportunity in the Big 12 even if they'd prefer the basketball in the Big East. But I never thought TCU would be the first invite to the Big 12, so who freaking knows anymore.
