Yeah I realize Vike likes attention. What you have to realize is I am that guy that gives the 12-year-old girl more Spree's because it is way more interesting to watch the girl strap herself into the emotional tilt-o-whirl fueled by sugar and hopeful anticipation of receiving an invitation to the cool kids party via text from the hawt (not Hott!) guy in school than watching Twilight New Moon the the for the 1,000th time.Originally posted by cowboy View PostY'all realize this is exactly what the Vikster is looking for, right? He's like a 12-year-old girl desperate for attention who is threatening suicide by overdosing on Spree's. Well, Vike, I ain't biting. Go on, gitcher ass outa here.Dyslexics are teople poo...

Well, I'm preparing to say goodbye. I'm pretty surprised...my guy has been pretty spot on. I haven't spoken with him today (he's my childhood best friend...Doccoug knows him) and have a slew of meetings this afternoon so, while I thought this was a 99% certainty yesterday, it appears to be much less.
You win some, you lose some.
See you on September 10, 2012!

Scroll down to the Bronco interview... Good stuff starts at about 8:20... Seems like he is starting to change his tune a little bit about independence and joining a conference?

Gordon Monson is not anyone I'd ever pay serious attention to. Still, I skimmed his piece, and came upon his conclusion:Originally posted by DrumNFeather View Post
Brilliant. I guess he's been reading this board. The best hope for the Cougars is for Texas and Oklahoma to stay in the Big 12, which, once Texas A&M extricates itself from legal challenges in its exit to the SEC, would preserve that league. The teams challenging the Aggies in court don’t care about A&M as much as they do Oklahoma. If a couple of pillars stay in place, with guarantees, that conference could finally settle in, be preserved and expanded, with BYU as a strong possibility as an addition.
If they get that chance, the Cougars should jump all over it — in football and in every one of their other sports.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

The main interesting thing from the interview is that when asked if one of the big benefits about being independent is that you are more available to a BCS conference(like B12), Bronco answered "it was one of the real reasons, along with exposure" and then he started talking about BYUtv and worldwide fanbase, tradition and winning as benefits of BYU.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostScroll down to the Bronco interview... Also he talked about how if a conference wanted us, "which could very well happen they would have to take the whole package of what we are and if they wanted that it would be a great fit".
