PAC-16 already has the Utah market ...

it doesn't need BYU and it's quirks. Kansas or Missouri would bring new markets and potentially more TV money.

Missouri will go where Texas goes. Their athletic department needs to recruit Texas. Their academic people want the big 10 but it'll never happen because they'll become irrelevant in football. They are not Nebraska, who might Ben struggle to recruit the south.

Utah Ute fans are going to watch Ute sports, as are a significant amount of BYU Fans. The same will be true tommorrow as many Ute Fans will be tuning in to watch BYU vs. Ole Mis.

You simply don't need both schools.

That's exactly what I'm doing next Friday. Driving to Vegas & flying to Austin with my two eldest sons. Tickets were $206+ taxes - I think $246 total. My ticket alone from SLC was going to be $550.

This is conjecture, but I'm putting my money on the PAC16 scenario including national TV powerhouse and ESPN stars, the Cougars of Brigham Young.

That's odd. I bought tickets from SLC->AUS->SLC two weeks ago for $266 each (plus tax).

                            Dear Scorcho,

Utah Community College, paragon of academic excellence and the best university in the Avenues, has a following that consists of a few hundred thousand people in a town that should never have been.

Brigham Young, however, is the largest private university in the US, with its own TV distribution in millions of homes and with millions of religiously affiliated followers throughout the US (and non-religious folks like me). To compare the two schools and conclude that one is enough is simply not very intelligent.

                                Viking you should be nice.

Our "community college" is already in the PAC you propose... you may need our vote.
