...and anyone who knows the first thing about the pecking order of Texas universities knows that the good folks in austin couldn't give two shits about Tech. To think that Tech would somehow follow UT is ridiculous...especially in light of BYUs ESPN contract.

I can almost buy what Viking is saying. In fact, in a cougarboard chat a few days ago, I said that it wouldn't surprise me to see BYU in the PAC12 at some point.

However, I still don't see the pathway for this to happen for the very reason you cite. I don't see AZ, ASU, UU, CU voting themselves out of the PAC12 and into the Big12 South-ish.

Not true. Just buy a ticket to Houston Bush and you have a 50/50'chance of being redirected to Austin. I've landed in Austin twice on flights to Houston.
