    if a tiny town like lubbock deserves inclusion, why not Fort Worth(less)?
    Good question. They don't. However, they are in so it is what it is. Now they have the power to prevent other Texas schools from splitting the pie and stealing recruits from them. Without looking, my guess is that TT significantly out drew TCU last year. A very average TT vs. probably the best TCU team ever. While Fort Worth is big, TCU doesn't come close to having it locked down.

      Fort Worth alone is around 1MM.

      The Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington MSA is the largest metropolitan area in Texas and the fourth-largest in the United States. It's nearly impossible to determine what is the difference between Fort Worth's metro area and Dallas' metro area as it is now contiguous from Rockwall on the east and Lake Worth to the west.

        Ft. Worth is at 720 K. SLC metro is at 1.1 million.

          well that's the oppy. lubbock is 15% the size of fort worth. if tcu goes into the big 12, even setting aside the predominant UT/A&M fans, there's a whole lot of excitement that will be infused into the TCU program..

            LiveCoug, I saw you're persona non grata on CB for sky is falling mentality. As if we ever needed confirmation that CB lacks a sense of humor.

              Moreso than a run at a NC last year? I highly doubt that.

                Lubbock= 212k
                Ft. Worth= 720k

                Lubbock is 30% of Ft Worth.

                This is fun.

                  They are too chipper over there. They need some doom and gloom. I'm only happy to oblige.

                    This is now bordering on the absurd but that's apples and oranges.

                    Apples to apples (excluding metro), SLC is a tiny 182k vs fort worth at 720k (I saw higher numbers for FW and lower for Lubbock, but whatever).

                    Of course the more relevant stat is the Metro pop, which is 1mm for SLC metro and several million in fort worth, even if you only include Arlington and the other mid cities.

                    It's not even close.

                                Next comes the invitation of byu and tcu discussion.
