Well, it can't be all that bad if we end up second class citizens. I figure if we do, it will save me about $3,000 a year. The sorry state of how my golf game is going, I might need that money to pay off bets.

I think it would be hilarious if the Pac 10 only got Colorado and Okie State out of this deal. Uhhh, good job Larry Scott?Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Not by a very big margin, and Okie State would be some lonely random, irrelevant outpost if Texas and Oklahoma were in some other conference(s). Long term, I wouldn't be too bullish of Okie State's prospects after Pickens dies and the main recruiting ground in its conference is 1500 miles away.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostBetter than Utah and CU.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Oh come on, junkie, you don't care if Utah goes to the PAC.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostBetter than Utah and CU.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

I absolutely care if they go, especially if BYU is still stuck in the MWC. I just do not see it happening. Larry Scott just said they may just stick with a Pac-11 and only add Colorado. I do not see that happening either, its a bunch of bullshit posturing by all of these schools and conferences. I will wait to see how it all unfolds before I make any decisions on whether or not it is good, bad or ugly for BYu or utah.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostOh come on, junkie, you don't care if Utah goes to the PAC.

If the dust settles and it's the Pac 11 with only Colo added, that was the dumbest move in the history of conference expansion.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI absolutely care if they go, especially if BYU is still stuck in the MWC. Ok, let's put that one to bed.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostI go to bed and people here start believing OK State is going to the Pac-10 by itself!?!?!?!
Speaks volumes.
Report: OSU to Pac-10; Holder says report is 'false'
"The report circulating about an immediate announcement today concerning Oklahoma State University and conference realignment is without merit. There are no announcements planned by Oklahoma State University. We remain committed to the Big 12 Conference. If there are additional defections, we will have to evaluate our options."Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

You're right, we really can't believe anything. We're all just caught in a s**tstorm and hoping our umbrellas don't give out.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI absolutely care if they go, especially if BYU is still stuck in the MWC. BTW, as I have always said, my favorite scenario is one where BYU and Utah get to be in the same, very good conference. SU hates this and questions my Utehood over it.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

Is there a possibility that Chip Brown is totally full of shit and/or been fed some very bad information? So far, the only thing that has really happened is Colorado is leaving for the Pac 10. Big deal, people have been discussing that on CB since its inception.
The ink's not dry on Nebraska to the Big 10, and the main origin of that story is coming out of Chip Brown. As for Texas, aTm, Okie State, OU and Tech leaving for the Pac 10, hasn't that also been coming from Chip Brown? What happens if this guy's been fed a line of bullshit from someone who's been trying to obscure what's really been going on?Part of it is based on academic grounds. ESPN claims that Joe Schaad, Mark Schlabach and Shelley Smith have confirmed all of these reports. But they could have confirmed them through Chip I suppose.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostIs there a possibility that Chip Brown is totally full of shit and/or been fed some very bad information? As I've said before, there's either a long Sports Illustrated article or a book in this after it's all over. At the very least a Harvard Business School case study.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostIs there a possibility that Chip Brown is totally full of shit and/or been fed some very bad information? Mark Cuban behind getting Texas and aTm to the Big Ten? Welcome to the rabbit hole, folks.
Big Ten Expansion – Texas and Texas A&M May Choose Big Ten
Now we hear that Mark Cuban is becoming involved. As an Indiana grad, there is nothing he would like to see more than the Hoosiers show up in Austin and College Station periodically.
Cuban isn’t a native Texan, but his money and keys to facilities buys a seat at the table.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
