I do too. It's absolutely greed run wild and cooler heads are not prevailing. Taylor Branch's article seems to be completely ignored by the movers and shakers tight now. Hugely ridiculous.

the PAC-16 with an East/West Division would be miserable for Utah, but everyone seems to think that the POD system will be implemented so that you would play 2 schools from the Northwest, 2 schools from California, 2 schools from Texas & OK and the other schools in your POD.

I'd prefer the PAC-12, but a PAC-16 with that set up isn't awful.

I have said all along that I hate the thought of 16-team superconferences. I think 12 is the max size and I hate what all of this realignment nonsense is doing to traditional matchups all over the country.

That being said, if the B12 is going the way of the dinosaur I suppose the P16 is as good a place to land as any. And I would enjoy the occasional Utah-Texas matchup.

For me (and I think for most here) it's about much more than that. I really like college football as we know it, and super conferences will radically change it - for everyone, BYU, Utah, you name the school.

If the PAC expands but the California schools play each other every year and there is still a Rose Bowl tie-in, I'm not entirely opposed. I can see why the other PAC 8s would have an issue, though.

What would the 4 pods look like...

Northwest: Zeros, Beavos, Wazzou, Dogs
Pacific: SC, fUCLA, Kal, Farm
Desert: Devils, Zoo, Utes, Buffs
BFE: Texas, OU, OSU, Tech

It actually would be a great conference, at least from a viewership standpoint.
