here is a Denver Post article I'd missed. The logic is flawless. THere are a bunch of articles from Colorado's biggest paper favoring CU joining the Pac 10 with Utah.

You apparently failed to read the first sentence, which points out what at this point is just as likely an option: nobody does anything at all.

The important part is the biggest paper in Colorado is saying going to the Pac 10 is an absolute yes if the opportunity comes. The Pac 10 has already offered Colorado in the past! Utah is the natural partner.

Putting aside your embarrassing assumption that a single blogger represents the position of the newspaper, I don't find fault with the guy's argument. It's interesting that the reason for BYU's exclusion will be ideology, not economics or athletic prowess. And what's more important in collegiate athletics?

This is the first time I have seen you doubt that ideology will keep BYU out of the Pac 10. I thought that was understood and accepted as a verity here, and you are the smartest, most experienced poster.

I did not intend to express doubt; I was just noting the weirdness that, among ideology, economics and athletic accomplishment, the first would trump the latter two. As for the rest of your post, you make some excellent points.
