Is he going to be a receiver? Does he have the speed to be a cornerback? What do people think?
I agree completely in fact Chase Hansen was clearly the better qb.

Also watching Bingham vs Alta, Manoa Pikula was everyone and just killing people. But the best player on the field was Moses Kaumatule was sick. He played D-end and was so quick off the ball he was absolutely unblockable. Altas LT was forced to hold him on every play. I was really impressed by those two.

Speaking of high school kids, I went to the Timpview vs. Highland, Idaho game last week. Remember Bryson McKenzie? He had a schollie to BYU but Bronco pulled it a few months ago because he changed his mind. Bryson had ~150 yards and three TD's in the first quarter. I hope somebody picks him up. He is a stud.

        Who changed his mind? Bronco?
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Yes. Bryson and his parents were very upset.

I read recently that he is the 11th-rated RB in the west.

I believe when BYU landed Quezada they felt that 3 RBs in this class did not leave them room to sign one in 2011.

I thought he had a schollie offer from Utah still?

Utah Rivals does not show an offer.

BYU football: Cougars win recruiting battle over Mathews
                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

This has been in the works for awhile. In fact he was going to start a BYU rivals site, but this opportunity came along so he will still do TBS as well as write for the D-news.

Does this mean Harmon is out?

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

No I think Harmon will do the day to day BYU stuff, and Gurney will do weekly recruiting.

Sumsion caught a TD tonight -- seems like he would be a great fit for BYU. Interesting how times change -- when I was in high school I never would have considered that within 2 decades the Springville Red Devils would be pounding Mountain View 42-0.

That seemed like the equivalent of Utah State shutting out Oklahoma.

times have changed. I would have never dreamed of springville even being in the same classification as an Orem school.

True. My junior year in basketball we did beat 4A Timpview as a 3A Springville team. But that was a major upset. I don't think we ever came close to beating a 4A school in football though.

Wow. Looks like Springville will again be in contention for second place in 4A.

Timpview played Alta today and fell behind 20-6. Then they went 34-7 the rest of the game to win by 14. Too many penalties, but they look awfully good for this early in the season.
