The Texas Juergens twins walked on at BYU. Apparently they wanted to stay together and play on the same team. Also, their older brother is at BYU. They lack in size (5'10" 175) but have great speed (4.5+ 40):

This comment is probably out of place in this thread, but there is no "Texas High School" thread, so I'll chime in here.

You always here about how large the HS stadiums are in Texas. What strikes me is that you rarely if ever see them anywhere close to full in highlight videos.

I suppose they build them for one or two big games a year, but in so many highlight vids, you see nearly empty stadiums.

A lot of time you are seeing the guest side in the highlight videos. Unless it is a big game the guest side most likely won't be sold out. Allen High School, for example, currently has a stadium capacity of 14,200 (soon to be expanded to 18,000). The home side and end zones (students) seating is sold out nearly every home game. People come out to see the home team but most people don't travel with the team usually unless they have a son or someone they know on the team (or its a big game).

Like I said in another thread, this is huge for BYU as he is the first big time recruit that both BYU and Utah went for head to head since the Pac-12 announcement.

The only other one I can think of is Sioso Aiono (sp) the OL from California. He's a three star on rivals and shows offers from both BYU and Utah.

Everything I had read was that he had yet to tip his hand either way. So who knows if he was a BYU or a Utah lean, but Utah had been killing it this year in Utah County (specifically Spanish Fork).

I have to say, watching Alex Kuresa and Mountain Crest lose to Lone Peak last week (on KJZZ), I'm not sure what Kuresa is going to be able to do at BYU. He's not a D-1 QB.

Is he going to be a receiver? Does he have the speed to be a cornerback? What do people think?

I love the kid, but there is no way he is big enough to play D-1 ball. I think he plays CB on defense, so maybe that is where they are going to put him.

Is Matt Sumsion TE at Springville getting looked at by anyone? The kid is a freaking specimen. 6'6, a ripped 230 or so, and the fastest kid on his team. Good feet, one of the best BB players in the state.
