I don't know, maybe to try to drown out the cheers for a player on the other team.
Nope. They started the game by booing each time he touched the ball and the cheers were a reaction. Not the other way around.
Keep trying, Ute fans.

I don't fault the Ute fans for being j. From a publicity standpoint, Jimmertime last year goes unrivaled by anything either of the two schools had accomplished. And yes, I include BYU's 1984 NC in that. To have that happen while the Utes were simultaneously on their way to hitting rock bottom as a basketball program introduced some vitriol into the equation. For many Ute fans it will take some time to get over that.

Sure. And it wasn't that big of a deal.

Why would real Jazz fans single out one of the Kings players?
Because he doesn't play for the Jazz?

Exactly. That's why no real Jazz fan should cheer for a player on the Kings.

No, because he played at BYU and was the greatest college basketball player to ever suit up for a team from the Beehive State.
These are two good points.
Are you saying that someone on the Kings roster is better than Stockton or Malone?

No, I'm saying that Jimmer played at BYU and was the greatest college basketball player to ever suit up for a team from the Beehive State.
C'mon IPU, by your book those boo-birds were BYU-haters and not real UofUtah Fans anyway. You should be the first in line to condemn their wearing of Native American symbols and crimson apparel.
Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Now you're just being stupid. But like isaid, I don't fault you or any other Ute fan for hating Jimmer.

Is Jimmer better than Danny Ainge? Jerry Chambers? Tom Chambers? Andre Miller? Keith Van Horn?
I don't hate Jimmer. But I don't have a problem if Jazz fans singled him out to boo him. Hell, I singled out Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and booed them. I even singled out Keith Van Horn and booed him because he didn't play for the Jazz.
What I find odd is that so many BYU fans who claim to be Jazz fans will cheer for a former BYU player over their alleged favorite team.

Jimmer is god. He transcends team loyalties.
