Ahhh, I missed that. I was in and out for most the game.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostFreeman had already been plunked earlier in the game.
Screw that. I am glad Harper got drilled then.A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life. - Mohammad Ali

That wasn't intentional. There was one out. Why put Freeman on with McCann and Chris Johnson coming up next in a tight ball game when Gio knows he isn't going to get any run support? Besides, Teheran pitched through an inning before plunking Harper. If that was a retaliation pitch for the Freeman ball then I really wish Harp would have kicked his ass. I effing hate the Braves.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostFreeman had already been plunked earlier in the game."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

Why put Harper, the winning run, on base in a 2-1 game? It made a lot less sense than putting Freeman on. So why was Freddie not intentional but Harper was? Washington hit Atlanta's best hitter, Teheran waited until Harper came up to get Washington's best. That's the dumbest part of baseball's self-policing rules...no matter what happens, the other side wants to try to justify or rip what happened, and can always try to portray the other side as doing it right.Originally posted by Surfah View PostThat wasn't intentional. I can't fault Harper for being pissed that his team shut Strasburg down last year, or that his team is about 40 games out of first right now.

And this is why nobody likes the Braves or their fans. When is the last time Atlanta won anything significant? You are the buffalo bills of baseball.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostWhy put Harper, the winning run, on base in a 2-1 game? It made a lot less sense than putting Freeman on. Well, to be fair, the Braves have won a championship which is more than the Bills can say.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostAnd this is why nobody likes the Braves or their fans. When is the last time Atlanta won anything significant? You are the buffalo bills of baseball.

A more accurate comparison would be that the Bills are the Utah Jazz of football.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostUtah Jazz of baseball? Maybe that's why BGR likes them.

Because the tying run was on second base with 1 out, and the nationals' best hitter, who had homered in his previous at bat, was up. Good strategy to put Harper on 1st base, making a double play possible. That way, a groundout ends the inning, rather than simply moving the runner to third.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostWhy put Harper, the winning run, on base in a 2-1 game? It's baseball. I fault nothing that went on, or how it was handled by the players. On either team.If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

I swear they move the kid around in the lineup too much. I know it's only the two spots, but it seems like on any given night you don't know which one it's going to be.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I like Davey Johnson but I don't get many of his moves this season. He's moved him around the outfield quite a bit too.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI swear they move the kid around in the lineup too much.
