Yeah I didn't think it was really fair. Harper is fiery and has an opinion; everybody's wondering why he's 6th in the batting order, but when Harper wonders aloud the same thing he's All Attitude. Whatever- these LDS guys can't all hold their tongue like Jimmer.Originally posted by OceanBlue View PostWashington Post sportswriter Thomas Boswell has a cutting piece on Harper today."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! Lots of locals pissed with Bryce even though they all agree with him. Most are more upset with his comments about playing center field and dissing Span. Again, it's not that what he said is so disagreeable, just the way he did it."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

DC needs to grow a pair. I blame Obama.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Boswell is one of these old school guys you can imagine covering a game with a fedora and a small notebook. They've given RGIII a very similar treatment here, and it's mostly tied to winning. When the Nats were in the playoffs, we didn't hear any of these criticisms of Harper or Strasburg etc...but now that they are hovering around .500, it's a whole different story. When you're winning, they like your intensity, but when you are losing, it's a distraction.Originally posted by OceanBlue View PostThe Post seems like they are all over Harper. Wise writes a column saying stop acting like a 12 year old. I think most know as soon as he possibly can Bryce Harper is out of DC. I don't blame him."They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Agreed. Local radio yesterday was taking calls from fans who said they weren't going to wear their Harper jerseys anymore. The radio hosts laughed and said when he goes 4-4 in a game with a couple HRs these same fans will be the first to put their Harper jerseys on.Originally posted by DrumNFeather View PostBoswell is one of these old school guys you can imagine covering a game with a fedora and a small notebook. In fairness to Bryce he has been handled rather poorly I think by the Nats. There is absolutely no reason he should have been shuffled around the outfield so much his first two years. I also don't understand why Williams continually effs with the lineup. In fairness to the DC media, Bryce is a dick. SJBH.
I think he leaves when his rookie deal is done but not because of the way he has been treated. He's a Yankee. It's his destiny and has been since he was in HS."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic
