Like BGR, I just want to see him play more minutes. Last night he had 10 and 5 in just his first 10 min on the court but again his lack of conditioning caused him to foul more.

To be honest I'm not at all interested in becoming the Spurs first round whipping boys so why not shut Milsap down when Fes and Frank get back from their minor I'd-rather-not-play-on-this-roadtrip and play the kid 30 min a night? (Of course I don't run the Jazz and therefore I don't know exactly what 2 extra home games of revenue might actually generate so I'm speaking purely from a fan's perspective)
An SI writer was on 1280 this afternoon and was talking about what scouts are saying about the Jazz right now. He said he sat by one at a recent game and the scout said the system is the same but the players aren't making hard cuts and look apathetic. But then he also said he likes Hayward and thinks Utah has got to get him and Favors big minutes the rest of the way so they are more ready to contribute next year. He compared Hayward's first step to Brandon Roy, saying it doesn't look like he'll get by you but for some reason he has more quickness on that first step than you'd expect.

With how important this upcoming draft could be for Utah with likely two lottery picks I think it is pretty stinking important to get as good of a look at Favors and Hayward as possible, to get Favors really ingrained into the system so you can predict how he'll fit as he improves, and to also showcase their ability for potential trade possibilities in the off-season if something comes up.

On the year, Favors averages 3.3 fouls in 19 minutes played.

For comparison, Millsap has averaged 3.4 fouls per 25 minutes played over his career.

I say let him foul out! If the fouls are hurting the team, that's a cause for concern. But there should be no concern about pulling him out because of foul trouble.

I disagree with the scout. The cuts have been better since Sloan left. They were terrible for the first half of the season. That's not to say that they are as good as they have been in years past.

I think you two might be in agreement. He didn't differentiate between cuts being made this season, at least he wasn't specific about that. My assumption was that he was comparing what he was seeing to what he had seen from Jazz teams in the past. And I agree with you, it has been going on all year long and has looked worse than it does right now.

I like the way AK is cutting to the hole right now. That's an improvement. Bell still isn't making the cuts. The scout is probably referring to the traditional curl we used to see guys like Harpring and Korver make where there would shoot a quick shot from the elbow area off the curl. We haven't seen much of that all year.

AK's in a contract year. I really do hate saying that because despite injury his effort has really been a bright spot lately.

Just to make you guys feel better about G-Hay:

                    Paul George, Pacers
If there is one reason to watch the Pacers this year, it's this guy. While the Griffin-Wall-Cousins rookie trio still hogs all the attention, it's become increasingly clear that George was flat-out stolen at No. 10 by Indiana. A long, silky finisher who looks as if he could easily ramp up to the go-to scorer role, George is shooting 56.7 percent on 2-pointers.

His main shortcoming has been that he has taken a ton of 3-pointers and struggles to make them. That talent should develop in time, as his shooting stroke looks solid, and if it does the 20-year-old will be nigh unguardable.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Locke thinks Jeremy Evans starts tonight over Favors in place of Sap. Puh-leeze. If that happens, it will be the first knock against Corbin as coach in my book. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Corbin says Evans' "familiarity with the system" is why he is starting over Favors.

At least it wasn't the "can't mess w/the rotation" line.

Not seeing any headbands was the first knock against Corbin for me. I don't really know if anyone on the team would want to wear one, but I'm still counting it against the coach.

Corbin says he "won't hesitate to use Cousins". So let's not hesitate to put a d-league guy in when he hasn't ever practiced with the team, but heaven forbid you'd start the supposed future of your franchise over Jeremy Evans.
