Deron sounds pretty solid about things:

      We don't run, don't execute, don't screen, don't know the plays. "
Maybe they should turn the roster over some more. I would probably look at that before considering a change on the bench. Gotta give Jerry at least another 5 years.

One thing I wouldn't change at all, though, is the team's pattern of having the bigs crowd guys like Andray Blatche when they are 20 feet from the hoop. That is really a sound defensive strategy. You don't want to leave Blatche and his eFG% of 32% on jumpers open on the perimeter. Hell no, get up in him and force him to take a shot that he's much more comfortable with or to get fouled.

As one of only about two dozen Wizards fans still left, just wanted to drop by and ask: are things are really that bad for the Jazz this year?

I guess it's all about expectations.

Yes. We just lost to the freaking Wizz, for crying out loud.

Jerry says he might be slow when it comes to making changes because he likes to look at the "big picture".

I think Jerry got bailed out one hundred thousand too many times by Malone and Stockton, and because of that still believes things will just work themselves out.

I remain skeptical about just how hard the Jazz will push to re-sign Kirilenko this summer.

                    Quote:
I think they feel like Kirilenko made promises before signing max deal about how he would grow as a player that he never fulfilled

                    Quote:
My impression was that Andrei left Utah the day after the season ended and came back the day before training camp started.

                    Quote:
I will never forget April 8, 2009. The Jazz lost 130-101 to the Mavs. The team was staying over in Dallas, so no hurry to catch a flight.

                    Quote:
Kirilenko was out of the locker room in like 3 minutes. I remember thinking, "He's just going to sit on the bus by himself."

                    Quote:
For somebody making $15 million a season, I just expected more. I think the organization noted things like that even more than the writers.

                    Quote:
Of course, the asterisk is that Kirilenko was Larry Miller's third favorite player after John and Karl. Never knew Greg's feelings.

                    Quote:
The other all-time AK moment was missing practice in the playoffs to get his visa taken care of so he could go on summer vacation.

                    Quote:
The Jazz said Kirilenko had permission from Sloan (or a miscommunication with him). I was just dumbfounded at the lack of common sense.

                    Quote:
I talked to someone the day after the Jazz cleaned out their lockers last spring who noted that Andrei already had left for Tokyo

                    Quote:
Before leaving, I told someone with the Jazz, "I wasn't part of your team, but sometimes I was offended on your behalf."

                    Quote:
Never could figure out who specifically, but he was always the leading candidate. The famous "championship vision" Deron quote

                      Good hell you assholes.

Let's see a new starting lineup for shits sake.

Vaginacic is on the Nets? Great. The last thing I need is to lose to a team he's on.

Klinks has 8 ft's by the half. Is he going up strong and not flailing his arms like a spaz?

I think this team lives to torture you guys. I thought the Lakers were apathetic. Yeesh.

Bitches all. Horrible team chemistry. No effort. Turn out the lights, this overpaid team has nowhere to go but into the tank.
