  • Dennis trying to inflate Marv's value so he can flip him to a contender for something. What's the problem?
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

    • This just in: Wiggins is slipping out of contention for No. 1-2. The NBA guys I talk to say that will be Parker and Kansas seven-footer Joel Embiid. At No. 3, Wiggins has yet to separate himself from Kentucky power forward Julius Randle, Australian point guard Dante Exum and, depending on whom you talk to, Arizona forward Aaron Gordon. So Wiggins, whose fame in high school far exceeded Kevin Durant’s at Montrose Christian (it’s in Rockville, Md., if you haven’t heard of it) could miss the top two… or three… or more? “There’s zero chance of any team taking anybody before Jabari Parker,” says an Eastern Conference personnel guy. “And there’s zero chance of any team taking Wiggins before Joel Embiid.” Forbes.com - See more at:

And the BGR prediction now in full effect:

Deep as this draft class is, its star quotient is another question. Setting aside comparisons to LeBron James and Durant, who are beyond anyone on the horizon, no one in this class is as highly regarded as No. 1 picks Anthony Davis (2012), Kyrie Irving (2011), John Wall (2010), Blake Griffin (2009) or Derrick Rose (2008). “If you called the Pelicans, the Cavs or any of those teams and offered this year’s first pick for their guy, they’d fall over laughing,” says a Western Conference personnel guy. This will be interesting to watch. After an incredibly hot start, Jabari is shooting 36% FGs in his last 5 games, including 23% 3pt. I'm still not convinced there won't be issues with his weight down the road, and combine that with the terrible offensive numbers as of late, I think it's premature to say he is a lock for the #1 overall.

That's exactly as I see it. I listen to just about all of his interviews and know he is as shrewd as they come.

            • Jabari struggling again tonight. Just 5 points two minutes into the 2nd half.

I haven't checked the boxscore, but I think he finished with 8 points on 3-11. But honestly, the poor shooting doesn't really tell the whole story of how bad he was. Forced shots, fadeaway jump shots, not boxing out, ugly turnovers and then with Duke up 63-60 in the final minute, he committed a bad foul on a three point play, and for the rest of the game, coach K was subbing offense for defense, subbing for Jabari because he was a defensive liability.

                Next: Wiggins v Iowa State.

14/14/4 with a lot of game to go. How's he look?

                    • Go Bear's last game before getting recalled was a 23 point, 14 rebound, 2 block effort in 30 mins. So far in 8 D league games he's averaging 14/11 and 3 blocks in 27 mpg with 74% from the floor and 70.5% from the line.

I haven't watched the game yet. I hope to get it in before midnight, though. Gotta love the 14 rebs though - his mediocre rebounding has been one of my biggest issues with him.

                        • Burks.

Some of his shots tonight were unreal. 34 points on 19 shots. Continues to have an incredible TS% when he shares the court with Trey. And Favor's 7-12 continues his trend of great shooting when the O is led by Burke.

"Man, I take some wild shots", he says to Steve Brown after the game. Uh, yes you do, Alec. Yes you do. So much fun to watch.
