Great work, Locke. If the guy you're paying $14 M doesn't miss every single lay-up he shoots the game would have felt different. Not your team would have won or even that the result would have been in doubt. Not blowing all of those lay-ups just means it would have been closer.

I know a lot of us get annoyed when Bronco used to repeat himself endlessly about execution and how they just need to execute better. But Corbin said after the game that the Jazz executed well. What? That they executed well and just happened to miss some shots. What? He can't be serious. That was execution? Lazy passes? Shot clock violations? We are in for a long season.

That was the drum Locke was trying to beat on Twitter, saying that because the Jazz got so many shots at the rim they obviously executed well and were just missing shots that will fall.

Millsap driving into Gasol and getting the ball slapped back down on his head isn't good execution just because it got a close shot. CJ Miles driving in wildly and hucking a shot up because he's trying to get back at Kobe abusing him is not good execution. (Which was another matter entirely that pissed me off last night...Kobe's going into eff you mode and CJ freaking Miles is getting into Kobe 23 ft from the hoop like he's ever been able to play any semblance of decent defense, just pissing Kobe off more and making the game uglier than it already was)
