Couple other thoughts on the NBA. Kevin Martin is killing it early on, seemingly having a career rejuvenation. Bradley Beal, after an excellent pre-season and starting the regular season fairly slow, has come on the last few and looks poised to become a star. Bledsoe, unsurprisingly, looks like he will be a star for a long time to come as well. Probably will be a better NBA PG than UK teammate, Wall.I'm like LeBron James.

It's looking like that could be the case, although it would be interesting to see how the Thunder would look with just Westbrook and no KD.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostIs it possible that the clear 2nd best player on a team is actually that team's MVP?I'm like LeBron James.

Ouch. The losing -- Utah's worst start since going 0-11 as the expansion New Orleans Jazz in '74-75 -- isn't entirely unexpected given the state of the roster. The alarming part that has thrust earlier-than-expected pressure on Ty Corbin is the non-competitiveness, with the last five L's by a combined 85 points. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Holding strong in the Tank Rank.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story...-move-top-list1. Utah Jazz | Status: Tanking | Record: 0-7
Well, we're two weeks into the season and we have a clear frontrunner in Tank Rank. The Jazz have been pretty awful, losing by an average of 13 points per game this season. This week was especially brutal as they were trounced by the mediocre Raptors by 26, scored just 73 points against the Bulls in a 23-point loss and lost by 10 to the previously winless Celtics.
Gordon Hayward and Enes Kanter are off to great starts, but the guy the Jazz gave the big extension to, Derrick Favors, has struggled out of the gate.
The team ranks dead last in offensive efficiency and 28th in the league in defensive efficiency. That's a very bad combination. Factor in that the Jazz have a pretty tough schedule the next few weeks (a game on Monday versus the Nuggets notwithstanding) and I'm pretty confident they'll be sitting in this spot for a while until Trey Burke comes back from injury.
Looks like they've dropped to 28th in D efficiency after the last couple games. lol.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

How Corbin could possibly make it to Christmas as the Jazz coach is beyond me. The only reason he makes it beyond is because Lindsey wants to wait to hire another fired coach."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault
"Once I seen the trades go down and the other guys signed elsewhere," he said, "I knew it was my time now." - Derrick Favors

I think that's exactly it. He gives Ty a bad roster that will lose a lot of games, and he can fire him and bring in someone who actually knows something about the game of basketball. Win/win. Or lose/win, I guess.Originally posted by Blueintheface View PostHow Corbin could possibly make it to Christmas as the Jazz coach is beyond me. It looks like the Jazz kept the wrong guy. I think the Suns have even less talent than the Jazz and Hornacek has them at 5-2.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostJeff Hornacek >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tyrone Corbin

But reading this thread Jazz fans are supposed to be cheering for losing. That's the whole goal. Why would posters in this thread want this awesome coach now? I can just the the main posters in this thread bitching "Horny is making us win all these games?! Now we are going to be in the playoffs. This organization is a mess!"Originally posted by RC Vikings View PostIt looks like the Jazz kept the wrong guy. Yep, joke is on the Suns. I hope they enjoy that #8 seed or just missing the playoffs and getting the 14th pick in the draft. Jazz fans know all about how much fun that is.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostBut reading this thread Jazz fans are supposed to be cheering for losing. That's the whole goal. He also needs to start playing Enes behind Biedrins.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostCorbin better start jerking around Hayward's minutes and role some more if they don't want to pay out some big time money this summer. 19 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 4.7 apg, and 20.2 PER so far. And we know his FT% and 3pt% are going to go up from where they are now (75% and 32%).So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

He also need to give Jay-El 3 as much time on the court as Burks. Oh wait.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostHe also needs to start playing Enes behind Biedrins.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
