From Locke's breakdown, Warrior shot charts in 1st and 3rd quarters:

Most teams don't play a true second unit, in other words, five new guys. The bench players come in mixing with the starters as it should be. If Corbin can't figure that out he's a freaking moron. There should never be a time when all five starters are on the bench except mop up duty.

        Evans showing off the J.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Kanter will not start tonight. Evans and Burks starting in place of Kanter and Jefferson.

Evans is like the forgotten young guy on the team. He's athletic, good things happen when he's in the game, his PER numbers are almost always off the charts, but nobody talks about him. I get why in some regards. He doesn't really have a position. He's rail thin. But his results have always outpaced expectations. I've kind of assigned him as a "11th or 12th man" type but does he potentially have a larger role than that?

He's had 3 full seasons in the NBA and hasn't even crossed the 900 minute mark. Not 900 minutes in one season. He's played fewer than 900 minutes total in 3 seasons. It would be incredibly rare to have a guy like that then turn into a solid rotation player, especially when he can't be a solid individual defender or shoot the 3. But if Evans can develop a certain skill, carve out a role that he is very good at, it would certainly improve his opportunities. And maybe he's finally getting enough confidence in that jumper to actually use it in games effectively. Because of his length and athleticism, he could be a guy that can keep possessions alive, get some easy buckets, and be a nice help defender.

Exploring the possibility of Kanter as a bench player is asinine. Corbin appears to still be completely incapable of manipulating substitution patterns and times to adjust his rotations to get different looks at rotation combinations during a game. Instead he thinks someone has to either start or come off the bench, i.e. to see if Kanter and Favors can be more effective playing opposite each other.

I don't think Corbin has shown anything to justify being in the big seat on the bench, and it doesn't look like that will change any time soon. Dennis Lindsey had to step in to save Corbin from himself, but apparently he didn't hide all of the rope.

I see no reason why he shouldn't play 15-20 minutes a night this season. Let us see what he can do in game situations.

I'll give the kid this: he always produces. Doesn't matter when they put him on the floor.

Speed in the open floor looks good and seems better pushing than Locke seemed to suggest.

No idea what is happening in this game, but the box is exactly what I want to see from Burke.

Biedrins starting tonight. Favors to the bench.

"We want to see different combinations, guys in other settings." And you can't do that unless you start them. Corbin is a genius.

There is absolutely no reason to play Biedrins this season. Zero. I don't get what the Jazz are doing.
