    Marvin Williams

If that were the bench, it would be among the strongest in the league.

    Unfortunately, this is the bench:

    Brandon Rush
    Rudy Gobert
    Andris Biedrins
    Richard Jefferson
    Jeremy Evans
    Jerel McNeal
    Marvin Williams
    John Lucas III

Making it one of the weakest benches in recent memory.

Combined, Jazz additions Andris Biedrins, Richard Jefferson, Brandon Rush and John Lucas III averaged 3.1 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 0.9 apg in 2012-13.

Though Rush didn't play last year and should be good for more than that himself this year.

I'm hearing Mo Williams is considering taking less to join a contender such as the Spurs or Heat. Nothing imminent, but he's considering it.
Well, since every team is probably offering him "less", I guess it makes sense to take it from a contender.

I thought he was insisting on being a starter. Not sure I see Parker coming off the bench...

                • Lindsey's interview on KALL 700 today was great. He certainly has a very clear vision of what he wants accomplished and he's definitely executing the first steps in that plan. He summed it up by saying build through the draft, parlay that into better talent via trades, and then fill in gaps through free agency. He wants as many assets as possible to use during next year's draft, either to get the right pick(s) in that draft or to use those assets in trades.

He also said they are having further talks with Neto's agent to decide what will be best for his development, staying in Europe or coming over next year. It sounded more like they'll bring him over than it has up to this point. Burke, Neto, and Lucas III at PG?

Lucas III sucks. Burke is a huge question mark and Neto isn't ready. We may see plenty of #10 playing the point next year. I'm not thrilled with that as I'd rather see him as much as possible at SG, but at least he should be on the court a lot.

I came over to post the same thing. About every response there was more interesting than anything I've heard Corbin say. Interesting hoe different Hornys philosophy is to Sloan's, especially on defense.

                        • @kpelton: Maybe there is someone in Las Vegas who has not yet fallen in love with Dennis Schroeder's game. I have yet to meet them.
I'm excited for Burke and think Jazz made a great move to get him, but I was excited about Schroeder too.

                          • I've been watching highlights of him and really like him, too. Worried he's got a lot of exactly what this team needs.

                            • Looking at some of Schroeder's boxscores (I haven't seen the scores of all his games) his numbers have been less than stellar. Maybe he's had some good games as of late.

the thing that I like about Schroeder, from what I have seen, is he is very creative with the ball and with his passing. He looks like he needs work with his shot. Rondo is one of the very, very few terrific point guards that is not a very good shooter. It will be interesting to see what happens with Schroeder and how he develops. I think Burke is the good safe bet to be a better than average point guard. A guy that can make the pass and hit the open shot when needed. With the Jazz lack out of outside shooting, I think Burke was the better choice.
