What did he think was going to happen? He hasn't practiced at all in an extremely short training camp, even before this latest setback with his injury they weren't sure if he could go against LA, and he's mad that the future/current star of the franchise is going to start in front of him?

Give him to NJ or Chi, whichever team is in bigger need of another former Jazz player.

I am paraphrasing but he did say he could see the writing on the wall and that he is used to people doubting him. Basically calling Corbin and the Jazz organization you now the guys that drafted him and gave him a big time contract. He said he was told his whole life he was to small to play the 4 in the NBA, and to slow to play the 3 and he proved everyone wrong and he will do it again.

Good for Paul he will put up good numbers against backup 4s that are similar to him in size.

He thinks the offer for Dwight will continue to get better as the season progresses. I am not so sure that happens but we will see. If he waits until the very end teams will know he is desperate to move Dwight for something before the guy walks so they may pull back a bit.

I can't get too worked up over it. The important decisions, favors and hayward, Corbin got right. bells sucks but so does everyone else for that position.

I was a proponent of trying to go after Salmons in the offseason. He's not great and is a bit of a ball hog but he can often create his own low percentage shot.

            • I still think the Jazz should take a chance on Redd. Give him a Howard deal and see if he can help space the floor.

Teams are going to quickly realize the Jazz have no deep threats and will pack the paint.

Like they haven't realized that already? Do you even watch teams play the Jazz? They camp outside bombing shot after shot and let any Jazz player under 6'6'' chuck it as they please.

I don't recall them doing that when Dwill, Korver, and healthy Memo were around.

                  So bring in Redd.

Good idea, Redd has been really good the last few years. Can the guy even walk?

Any other former Democratic Presidential candidates you could list would be helpful.

Last I checked he could shoot. If Fisher can play in the NBA, why can't Redd?

Plus he'd be playing for a contract. What do the Jazz have to lose?

What do they have to lose? How about shots and minutes for the young guys they are trying to develop. Especially the perimeter guys like Hayward and Burks. The Jazz know they are not contending for anything this year so why bring in a 33 year old volume shooter that has not played 70 games since 2006 and has played a total of 50 games over the past 3 seasons?

Not only that but you say he is a 3 point threat? He has shot .235, .330, .361, .320 from behind the arc the last 4 seasons.

If this was 2004 or 2005 you bet I bring him in. But not now. Why not give Allen Houston a call too while you are at it.

Forgive him, he hasn't watched the Jazz play since Frank Layden was coach.

I was thinking like a fan who actually wants to see the Jazz win.

You're right, it doesn't make any sense to bring in a high character guy who can hit spot-up 3's on the cheap when you have Raja.

                              My bad.

Best case scenario if Redd works out...maybe he's good for 2-3 wins? So instead of 28-38, they go 30-36 and lose a spot or two in the lottery. And I'm being very kind.
