That shows AK as one of the hardest guys in the league to score on.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Oh, I read that to mean just the opposite. My bad. I did set you up for a great one liner though.

          • Don't know if it had been posted yet, but Barnes did announce that he is headed back to college.

                • Where is someone like Faried going to go? Solid producer in college, and seems like he could step in right away and provide good rebounding and defensive energy. I realize there's already a logjam at the 4, but by the time you're to pick #12, you're just drafting best available, right? Faried would be a reach at 12, but a trade down to pick up an extra pick in next year's draft (which looks to be loaded) wouldn't be a bad idea.

Faried is projected as a late lotto pick from what I've seen.

That is what I'm hopeful of at this point, that a team drafting around 18-22 falls in love with a guy, moves up to 12 to get him, and sends the Jazz their pick this year plus their first round pick next year. Would be good to have #12 from GS and a pick in the 20-22 range next year.

And landing someone like Biyombo + resigning AK then makes it much easier to move Millsap via trade for some perimeter help. They will have some pieces to work with (Millsap's mild cap number, Memo's expiring, CJ's expiring, GS's pick next year).

Do the Jazz have their own pick next year also, or did they swap picks to pick up the GS pick?

I think it goes to Minny for Al.

They owe Minnesota a pick from the Al Jefferson trade.

                              • The picks Utah gave away are of modest value. While the "Memphis pick" sounds alluring, it will never be in the top nine, and if unused by 2015, it reverts to cash. The protections are top 14 in 2011, top 12 in 2012, top 10 in 2013 and top nine in 2014 and 2015.

The Jazz's own pick, obviously, is likely to come late in the draft … especially now that they have Jefferson. But the Wolves now have a decent stable of first-round picks -- the one from Memphis, the one from Utah and their own.
Talk on the Memphis pick protection, but no mention of the Jazz' pick protection.
