haha. Time to put the diapers back on, I guess.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

        • The most encouraging part about the whole thing to me is that KOC went to Miller's house with some spreadsheets. The Jazz were late to the game there, but maybe this is hope that they're catching up to Morley a little bit.

          • Don't know if this was posted but I think it's interesting ... by ford from his chat yesterday:

Please Say I am Wrong (new jersey):

I am a huge nets fan. as much as I love D Will, I read he is not happy with the trade. Is it possible we just gave our core and picks to Utah and took their headache off their hands??

            Chad Ford (1:43 PM):

Possible. But I think he's more unhappy about being blindsided by the Jazz. He didn't know anything about it until he watched Sports Center. He didn't get to manipulate the place he went the way Melo did. But I don't think you can read into it that he hates NJ. You need to give him a few weeks with Avery Johnson before we can start credibly writing that.

I'm not a Jazz fan, but looking at it from my perspective, I think the Jazz actually did okay. I can't recall exactly what New Jersey was offering Denver in the way of a trade, maybe it was the same or even a bit more, but I think Utah actually got more out of their trade than Denver got out of New York.

Harris is an adequate PG. He averaged 21 points and 7 assists two years ago. Favors could end up being a stud. He was according to some rating folks, the #1 high school player in the country.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

              • I also think the move was good for the Nets because they needed to add a top 10 player in order to entice another great player to come in eventually. Besides the location, I think the biggest roadblock for the Nets was the sense that they didn't have anyone that was any good.

If they get the team into Brooklyn and if they can retain Williams and Lopez, then they may be able attract another great player.

                • The Nets are screwed because Darren is leaving there, too. He wont sign any long-term deal because the team wont be able to bring in another big superstar to play alongside.

I hear that the Nets watch a lot of game film together, though. That is a plus.

I was hoping to unload Millsap for a quality young wing. However, suposedly as of yesterday they wanted to keep him because their intent is to bring along Favors slowly. I say if we're going to rebuild, just turn the position over to the kid.

                          • The Pacers got Mayo for Josh McRoberts and a 2011 first.

Sucks that that is all it took to get Mayo, but the Jazz shouldn't give up that unprotected Nets pick, and aren't able to trade their own first round pick this year.

Grizz tried to trade Mayo to Pacers for McRoberts and pick.
Jazz couldn't have offered one of their new picks and something? I would have done that.

So put a top 3 protection on it and give them the GS pick next year if the NJ pick ends up top 3.
