I couldn't see much from the replay because the picture on my computer was kind of grainy. If nothing else, I'll take the no-call as a makeup for the absolutely bogus call on CJ that gave OKC the lead.

I think Durrant over acted a bit as well. The contact looks like it was there, but Durrant's flailing legs were a bit over the top.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI couldn't see much from the replay because the picture on my computer was kind of grainy. It was a foul, but the refs aren't going to make that call in that spot very often.Originally posted by falafel View PostI think Durrant over acted a bit as well. Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

It was clearly a foul. A call should have been made as it clearly affected his shot. I am glad Utah won as it helps the Spurs to climb up a few spots. But a call should have been made. Hearing the guys on local Utah radio justify the no call is hilarious. John Lund is trying to say that you never make that call with less than 3 seconds left. So from now on if you have the lead and the other team has the chance to tie or win with under 3 seconds just foul the shit out of them so they can not get a shot off because the refs should never make that call.Originally posted by falafel View PostI think Durrant over acted a bit as well. If Deron was fouled in the same situation those refs would not have made it out of there alive.*Banned*

Yep, and it's not just Lund, it's Jazz fans across the world. As you say, if that call is never made with under 3 seconds, coaches would be imploring their players to foul at all costs. Instead, every coach is in the huddle yelling DON'T FOUL! There is a reason for that.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostJohn Lund is trying to say that you never make that call with less than 3 seconds left. If you hated Simmons before, here are his last 3 tweets:Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostDeron has been no better this year than the last two. Simmons is a douche.
I wanna know if the NBA will admit that the refs blew a call that potentially cost OKC a 2-seed. That was a travesty.Bottom line = few (if any) refs have the balls to make a game-deciding call against Utah in SLC. Officials consistently intimidated there.BTW: Utah fans deserve credit. It's their job to affect home games & they do. Definitely worked tonight. No balls from that ref crew. None.*Banned*

The other thing is, aside from "Ten," I'd rather listen to STP than Pearl Jam. Since when was Pearl Jam the benchmark of musical excellence Simmons seems to imply?Originally posted by scottie View PostBill Simmons' tweeted this after last night's game:

I was at that game. It was a they called a push on John Amaechi on a Webber rebound of a missed Stockton FT. Webber made both his FTs to take the lead.Originally posted by LiveCoug View Post^^^^^^^
simmons second tweet is not true. Game against Sacramento a couple years ago, the refs gave the kings a win in SLC by calling a lat second foul that was beyond bogus. Fans let the refs know how they felt after that one.
The other one that jumps to mind is the Kobe flailing against Devin Brown to get a call and hit three FTs to seal the game (or maybe just sent it to OT, I can't remember).Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
