Jazz about to be in 5th place.

I'm enjoying the ride. But lest we get too confident, if OKC plays a better OT, the Jazz are in 6th. Even as it stands, Jazz are only .5 games out of 8th. Pretty much everything from 4-8 is on the table.

Ha ha I know the West is so good and I’m not sure there is much difference among teams 5-8 or for that matter teams 2-8. GSW still have to be the favorite to come out of the West but it wouldn’t shock me if Denver or Houston takes them down in the playoffs.

Donovan is really finding his groove. Some people shit on Ricky, but the team just runs so much better when DM doesn't have to do it all. When our guys are finding the long range shot the Jazz offense looks so unstoppable. I saw that we were shooting at 70% yesterday. That's a lot of inside shots, but also shows that we are finding and taking the right shots on the perimeter, too.

Yesterday's game was a perfect storm. The jazz executed their sets very well, they were having a very hot shooting day as a team (espec quarters 1-3) and the Knicks defense is so very, very bad. But for the fact that he is likely to blame in some part for the horrible defense, I would have felt bad for Fizdale.

Yeah you don't see an ass-kicking like that every day. I would add that Favors is so valuable in spelling Rudy. The opponent can't just bide their time and take it to the hole when Rudy goes to the bench. Not a huge drop-off in defense and a bit of a boost offensively in the paint with better hands and quicker to take it to the rim than Rudy.

Ho hum- back to the #5 spot. This conference is nuts-- we could be playing GS, Denver, Portland, or Houston and there isn't but a razor thin margin separating those fates.

I did too, especially since phoenix had been fouling intentionally in order to get the ball back more quickly.

With NUrkic going down Portland might lose a few more than they expected to these last couple of weeks. it puts the whole thing into even more uncertainty.

Portland has a pretty easy schedule, just like the Jazz. Portland actually has the tiebreaker against Houston, Houston still has four games against WC playoff teams and Milwaukee. If Portland lands the #3 seed, the 6 seed in the West will have Portland in the first round and possibly Denver in the 2nd round -- assuming the 6 seed beats Portland and Denver can even get out of the first round. Avoiding Golden State and Houston in the first two rounds would be a gift.

I don't watch a lot of the games, but it seems like Utah doesn't do as well as I'd expect against Portland. Is it a matchup problem? Or maybe my perception is just off.
