  • Rough loss. Jazz has several chances to win that and pissed them away. Mitchell was ass in OT.

    • Ugh. That's a tough OKC team and we had em on the ropes. PG's last second shot was miraculous. Eye rollingly impossible to defend, or replicate, probably. Too bad we couldn't put together a more complete game at the free-throw line. And Kyle could have just as easily nailed that last shot, too. If there's a silver lining, that's definitely a playoff type game that will teach the team how to perform down the stretch. Gotta start a new winning streak, get the mojo going, and hit the ground running in the playoffs.

      • i rarely watch jazz games live anymore because it is just too stressful - i checked the boxscore on that OKC game and it was 107-99 Jazz mid-fourth (iirc) and Mitchell was 10-18 with 28 points. He finished 14-35 FGs. 4-17 down the stretch and OT, it's amazing the Jazz had a chance at the end.
        I'm like LeBron James.

I would attribute that to some really tough defense by OKC. We just couldn't run an offense without Mitchell hitting turbo at the perimeter. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. OKC had the same problem, but luckily for them, PG hit the craziest miracle shot of the year.

          • Ha, Jazz are on the positive side of chances to make it to the finals and win the whole damn thing!

He was ass, but without Mitchell playing lights out to get them to that point, OKC probably blows them out. He looked absolutely gassed. And unfortunately, it's not like Rubio was adding much either, so Mitchell kind of had to shoulder the load.

              • Unpopular opinion alert: what this Jazz team needs to be a bonafide contender is a secondary player who can both create his own shot and/or spot up from the wing to take some of the load off of Mitchell at key times (no shit Siz, that's not unpopular. Here's where that comes). This Jazz team needs 2016-17 Gordon Hayward.

I'd be down with that. We are definitely at least one player away from contending.

I would love to have 2016-2017 Elder Hayward on this team. Unfortunately, Boston has 2011-2012 Hayward on their roster, and he is being paid like 2016-2017 LeBron James.

                          • OMG. I haven't been this amped up during a Jazz game for a long long time. We were down 17 in the 4th to the best team in the league and stormed back to take it. Rudy kind of had an off game but Donovan is an assassin. Favors had an amazing game- what a player!

great game, very good win, donovan was special and favors stepped up, but slow the roll a bit on the "best team" stuff. missing brogdon and bledsoe was huge. they are not the best team - likely not top 5 without those two.

also, HATE the way the Jazz defended Giannis. He's great - the MVP this year, IMO - but you don't have to hand him an easy career night - at least try to make it hard on him.
