      The Jazz would have lost this game last year. I like the trend, albeit against a weak Eastern Conference.

        A tale of the walking wounded right now. Favs will likely be shut down for quite a while I fear and Hill is questionable tonight as well. Hood is back which will certainly help offensively but SMR's favorite Jazzman continues his journey in rehab .

        Hopefully Joe Johnson has rested enough this week to contribute tonight. After game 1 expectations were way too high but for Joe but he still should be a 12-14 pt guy and has fallen off to 8 per/game in the last 11. Lyles will play a ton of minutes and while his defense is suspect his offensive game should help tonight.

            7 of 8 with Gordon playing well. A bad trend though in these 4th quarters. Despite that, somewhere MG is smiling.

                  last night Rudy played 38 minutes and was +20 in those minutes. Jazz won by 7. he's fairly important to that team.

                    Just a little bit, yes. I'm not sure what his metrics are in all categories but he really should at least be in the discussion for DPY. He's doing this without 3 starters even available most of the time including his front court running mate. He hit 10 of 11 FT last night too. Combine that with Hayward finally getting foul calls and hitting at a 90% clip, and this team is pretty good.

                    They need to get healthy in a hurry though because the January schedule is a tough one.

                      a 14-9 record at this point is solid. but yes, they need at least Hill to get and stay healthy.

                        It's incredible to think how inconsistent the PG position has been for the Jazz since the statues retired, D-Will being the lone exception. Not taking anything away from Hill, but the fact that he has come in and has run this team as well as he has is a testament to just how bad it's been. I really had hoped we'd get more from Joe Johnson but Hill has been downright great, and that has surprised me.
