Gotcha. But I still think it's hysterical that you think you can tell if he was leaner in that video considering he was wearing a loose t-shirt and long shorts.

Also, that quote was nearly 4 weeks ago. Chad Ford's comment was from today from a workout this week.

Wasn't that hard to tell. A lot of people made the same observation.

Parker, if you believe the gossip, has seen his weight balloon since the end of the college season.

In reality, just the opposite happened. Parker’s body has become more toned, as those who attended his recent workout in Southern California will attest.
That video was from this same workout where he was wearing the same clothes.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Not hard to tell - impossible to tell.

You didn't need to edit for that last bit. I had already preemptively commented on it!

I can tell too. Maybe MG and I are more attuned to the nuances of body fat than your untrained eye.

            • Here's a longer video from that workout than just the dunk clip.

Here are pictures from Duke: https://www.google.com/search?q=jaba...w=1600&bih=775

I don't care if he's wearing baggy clothing in a slimming black color, there's no way the kid in that vid has fattened up to the tune of 25 pounds compared to the kid in those pictures. That means he would have had to put on 20-25 pounds since this workout less than a month ago, and I really doubt that happened. If Milwaukee likes him, I'm sure they'd have no problem telling Ford he looked like a fat ass. The scouting director admitted as much.

              • Wouldn't it make that video more impressive if he was doing that at 255 lbs?

That's a decent point. I guess it could. I'm not the least bit impressed by the video, so I don't know.

It looks like Smart doesn't want to come to Utah. I'm guessing it would have been a poor match anyway.

Sweet Utah. Don't they know they should just fall back and invest in a European project C or PF like they're used to doing??

                              • Hope for the '13 class.

                                Giannis Antetokounmpo, SF, Milwaukee Bucks
                                (5.6 projected WARP per season)
If we redid the 2013 draft a year later, Antetokounmpo would likely go No. 1. At age 19, Antetokounmpo started 23 games and never looked out of his depth. Among players younger than 19 at the time of their NBA debut, just three (LeBron James, Dwight Howard and Josh Smith) played more minutes as rookies. Antetokounmpo's performance wasn't quite to that standard, as he rated around replacement level, but he's got years of improvement before he reaches his prime.
                                Trey Burke, PG, Utah Jazz
                                (4.5 projected WARP)
Of the top three finishers in ROY voting, Burke rated as the least valuable last season (0.8 WARP). His long-term potential is better than that for a couple of reasons. First, at 21, Burke is the youngest of the three. Second, he logged an impressive 32.3 minutes per game. Only Carter-Williams played more.
