Speaking of double doubles, Luke Worthington/Clark Kent appears as though he has eaten his share of Hostess Fruit Pies which will come in handy when we have to bang against Gonzaga. was a pleasant surprise but had no touch around the basket at times. A couple of his shots looked like frozen ropes with almost no arc on them. He seems willing to hustle.

My son hurried home from the game to excitedly tell his brother to watch a shot Luke Worthington takes towards the end of the game to prove we have a new player more goofy than James Anderson. Jump hook which slams off the backboard harder than maybe any shot I've seen in my entire life. My kids watched it over and over laughing their a***es off.

I think he will contribute this year, I just wouldn't look to him to put up a lot of points. At least not yet, anyway.

Im really amped up about this season already. Super excited about tomorrow nights game and it is only against anchorage.

23. Kyle Collinsworth, G, BYU Cougars
Sophomore, 6-6, 215

It’s easy for most people to forget about Collinsworth because he has been in Russia serving a mission for the past two seasons. Remember, this is a guy who started 27 games on the team led by Jimmer Fredette in 2010-11. Collinsworth only averaged 5.8 points and 5.1 rebounds, but that team also featured Fredette, Jackson Emery and Brandon Davies, so there weren't many shots laying around to pick up.

Collinsworth may be a little rusty, but we thought that would be the case with Tyler Haws a year ago and he averaged 21.7 points per game in his return. Collinsworth is so versatile and is one of the nation’s leading candidates to post a triple-double this season. He’ll take the pressure off Matt Carlino, who has struggled at the point at times during his career in Provo.

Carlino and Mika look like the only two guys on Byu who look like they are a level above Alaska-Anchorage. Also, if Kc has to play a lot of PF I think that will be a good indication Byu is having a tough season. He just isn't a four.

I'm baffled at why Brad Stevens wanted Worthington. He struggles with layups.
