I have not listened to Checkets on 1320 so I don't know if he changed from when he was on K700. I am looking at Checkets being young, talks fast, totally involved in current pop tv culture, takes lots of cultural/age jabs at his co-host...while Monson talks slow, is old, doesn't watch tv, doesn't follow pop culture, takes jabs personally, etc. That is where I see tension in their show. Just my opinion. But I agree that they are both debbie downers on the radio."Friendship is the grand fundamental principle of Mormonism" - Joseph Smith Jr.

I guess they are keeping The Jim Rome Show (awful), Jake Scott (instead of Bagley) & Tony Parks are hosting a show on the 97.5 station from 10 AM to 1-PM. The rest will be on the 1280 feed.Last edited by UtahJazzFan88; 05-22-2012, 05:57 PM.

Apparently I haven't listened to 700 much. In all honesty, when I've tried listening over the past couple of months it was Jazz talk. Nothing makes me change the channel faster than Jazz talk.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostThe afternoon drive show on 700 has always been a variety of sports and not just Ute talk. I think they do a great job....

The Jazz talk on sports radio is just tiresome and I'm a diehard Jazz follower (obviously). I really haven't heard much college football talk on any stations really. Now with LHM buying 1280, it will just be more endless Jazz talk.
EDIT: Looks like Bagley just tweeted that he's gone from the station.Last edited by UtahJazzFan88; 05-22-2012, 06:42 PM.

I like the Jazz I just don't eat it up like I do college football talk. The Red and Blue show talked a lot of college football. Hans and O.C. did a fair amount as well. I rarely heard college football talk on 1320.Originally posted by UtahJazzFan88 View PostThe Jazz talk on sports radio is just tiresome and I'm a diehard Jazz follower (obviously). I wouldn't be surprised if Bagley is still around on 1280, just as a roving reporter and fill-in role.Last edited by USUC; 05-22-2012, 06:45 PM.

Well no reason to listen to 1280 anymore except for Jim Rome. What an awful lineup. When the best show is Scott Garrard and Jake Scott you have failed miserably. Really sad to see good talent like Gunther and OC out of work while Monson and PK are still on the air.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

I wonder if Gunther tries to find work in California.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostWell no reason to listen to 1280 anymore except for Jim Rome. What an awful lineup.
