LOL. I just saw the score. The only inkling for conference rivalry I get is from higherroad, so I look forward to his humble return."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

I take it St. Mary's and Gonzaga played and Gonzaga lost. Who knew?Originally posted by jay santos View PostI got up today and was curious about the score of the game. Was kind of surprised to see no posts in this thread, no posts from higherroad, and none from any Gonzaga fans after the first few minutes of the game. Very interesting. Higherroad had a ton to say when we lost to St Mary's on the road. Why wouldn't he have anything to say last night?Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I watched this game and St. Marys dominated. Sacre was absolutely terrible and did very little. In fact he didn't even start the 2nd half. St. Mary's beat the Zags inside and out and their Aussie Point Guard was dropping bombs from everywhere. That dude is good for a kid with no quicks. He just doesn't turn the ball over.
No way in hell, Gonzaga will beat BYU in the Marriott center. I must say the best player Gonzaga has is their Freshman G - Pango. I think that is his name. That kid is similar to Carlino but faster in my opinion. Carlino is probably stronger. If BYU can close out on the threes they will win by 20+. In Spokane, the game will be much tighter.

20+ point win? I am pretty confident we win at home, but predicting a 20+ point win if we close out on shooters is a bit strong.Dyslexics are teople poo...

I caught the last 10 minutes. Looked a lot like our game vs St. Mary's. The gym didn't look any scarier, but you could tell there was a student section because they were mocking Sacre when he got benched, calling him back into the game with "we want Sacre". I did see some RUN SMC shirts. They did not induce fear.

I was just reading and noticed that my post from my phone auto-corrected Gonzga to Gonads.Originally posted by Surfah View PostI watched most of the first half. I was surprised by the final when I saw the box score this morning. Mostly because I didn't think that many points would be scored especially after the first 5 minutes which were ugly.
Also I noted that Gonads was outrebounded which I know was something they thumped their chests about.

I watched the whole game just for Higherroad. Dellevedova was by far the best player on the floor. Gonzagas highly touted front court was awful. In fact that pudgy kid Waldow was dominating.
Sacre still sucks. Dower was not much better.
Rob Jones who killed BYU actually did nothing for St. Marys and they still blew them out.
I was highly impressed by St. Marys and not so much by the Zags. This was the best case result for BYU however. You want teams to hold serve at home. The problem is I am not sure the Zags can beat St. Marys in Spokane with the way they played last night.Last edited by cougjunkie; 01-13-2012, 08:25 AM.*Banned*

I watched the whole game as well. St. Marys was more dominant than even the score indicated. Gonzaga played lousy. Pango is a baller and Elias is a beast around the hoop but looked below average outside the key. Sacre was terrible on both offense and defense. Dower was unnoticeable. Not impressed at all.
For St. Marys, Dellevadova was by far the best player on the court. Waldow played out of his mind and completely dominated the Zag bigs. And this as a pudgy true freshman. Page is terrible and I can't figure out how in the world he is starting. He is their Zylstra.
Maybe Gonzaga just had an off night and is a totally different team up in Spokane. But from what I saw last night I don't get the hype. Very average team.

Common opponents:Originally posted by Commando View PostYeah but stop avoiding the real question... who's front court is better?
St Marys:
Gonzagas front court (Sacre, Harris, Dower): 10-25 29 points 19 rebounds 3 blocks 7 turnovers
Brandon Davies: 11-18 28 points 7 rebounds 2 blocks
If I throw in Hartsocks 13 or Abouos 9 it is not close.*Banned*
