Holy crap, Gonzaga fans are whiners. On their board they are complaining about SMU running up the score.

If I throw in Hartsocks 13 or Abouos 9 it is not close.
I wonder if there were any BYU posters on the GU board last night chiding them for being so overconfident coming into conference play and touting their 11 consecutive conference titles, strongly advising them that they have their work cut out for them in this conference and sternly warning them that if they think this is tuff, the Marriott Center won't be a cake walk either...."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! BYU has had 4 road games and 4 "neutral" this year.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI also want to congratulate the Zags for playing their 3rd road game of the season! They are now 1-2 on the road.

I enjoy it when the Zags lose basketball games. I enjoy it even more when they lose by a lot of points.
It is really too bad the Utes couldn't make things work with Randy Bennett. He is a very good coach and could have re-established the Aussie pipeline at Utah.
Also, screw you Boylen for cutting off our Aussie pipeline that we had established. Although, Giacoletti deserves some blame (Patty Mills was willing to commit to Utah but he went with another player), Boylen is ultimately the guy who cut all the ties we had developed. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Rob Jones: 6-6, 240 lbs
Brad Waldow: 6-9, 250 lbs
Clint Steindl: 6-7, 195 lbs
That is the lineup that out rebounded the Zags rebounding machine. The amazing Sam Dower (6-9, 245) managed only 8 points and 5 rebounds against a very undersized team. Future NBA center Robert Sacre was even more impressive going 1-7 from the floor. David Foster has a better chance at an NBA career than Sacre. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

St Mary's handed us our worse Conference loss since 1992!
Ouch.
No if's, and's, but's about it.
We were dominated last night. The worse I've seen us play since '02 and a lot of that had to do with SMC's scrappy play for all 40 mins.
No fight.
No hustle.
No game-plan.
Simply unprepared mentally & physically to compete on the road vs a team that doesn't let up & plays with a chip.
St Mary's isn't the best we've faced this season, but they were the best last night.
Our true-freshman backcourt had a rude awakening and guys like Rob Sacre played just 17 mins. It was ugly in every phase of the game.
St Mary's is in the driving seat. We were 2-1 vs SMC last season after they won the first match-up, so here's hoping history repeats itself.
The pressure is on BYU & Gonzaga if they want to compete for the title, b/c I simply don't see a motivated team like SMC losing any games the rest of the way besides @BYU, @Gonzaga and right now, those are big "If's".
Tough loss, but it was much deserved. Gonzaga has to pull ourselves up off the mat and rally vs LMU tomorrow.
That Gonzaga team last night that won 13 games & lost two close games vs Top-ten team & Big-10's #2.
Anyway, good luck tomorrow vs Santa Clara. We beat them last wkend by 20+, so the Cougs shouldn't have much of a problem.

I will admit that I only have a degree from a Junior College, but I did take a few Enlish/Reading classes, but from reading your post a few times I missed the following:Originally posted by higherroad View PostSt Mary's handed us our worse Conference loss since 1992!

1. You admitting that you were wrong.
2. An apology.

This is actually not correct. The two top 10 RPI teams they played (Michigan State and Illinois) they lost too.Originally posted by higherroad View PostThat Gonzaga team last night that won 13 games & lost two close games vs Top-ten team & Big-10's #2.
.
The only win inside the top 50 was @Xavier a team that had lost 4 of 5 going in to that game.
Gonzaga has now played 4 teams inside the top 50 in RPI and they are 1-3. You are the Long Beach State of the Northwest. It is nice to schedule those teams but eventually you have to start beating them.*Banned*
