I'll be there. Games like this make me more nervous than the game at UNLV though.

BYU has absolutely nothing to gain here and Utah has nothing to lose. The Ute players should come into this game completely relaxed.

At the moment I'm still undecided, but I'm trying to get up there tomorrow night if work cooperates. My Crimson Club contacts actually want to attend the game themselves! Pfft. Are there any official CUF-sponsored events taking place?

I didn't see the game, but didn't Utah give SDSU a pretty good fight? I could see this one being tough for BYU.

My senior year of HS they reached #2. That was 1987-88 with Smith, Chatman and Hawes. They had a chance at #1 but lost to UAB. That was a fun year. I'm not sure they've been in the top 10 since.

I think the Utes will come out and play the game of their lives, being motivated by playing AP #11, Coaches #10 BYU in their own crib.

I wonder if Boylen is garnering any sympathy effort from his players at this point in the season...sort of a "let's save coach's job" kind of deal? I doubt it, but I also have zero info on the workings of that locker room.

I expect the Utes to come out hard and fast. Unfortunately, I don't think they are capable of putting together a first half like UNLV did, and therefore ultimately, I think all of their first half intensity will prove to tire them out for the second half.

I predict BYU wins....not big, but comfortably.

I am hoping to see some good signs in the crowd, some of the oldies but goodies:

"The Prophet is a Ute"

some reference to Prop 8 ("Repeal this proposition" or something similar)

some reference to the PAC (interesting given the current state of both the football and basketball teams)

maybe a Harvey Unga blast.

Should be a good time.

Sounds about right. I think the Utes will come out playing hard.

But I'm thinking it will be a pretty quiet crowd in the early-going. If the Utes can keep it close, then the fans will start to get loud in the second half.

Utah gave SDSU a game for one half. I suspect this will be the case with BYU was well. Utah manages to play even for a half, sometimes the first, sometimes the second.

Utah got called for 100 charges against SDSU. Jackson Emery will have a field day.

I've got my FIL's 4 seats behind the Ute bench. I need to arrange some church stuff but I should be able to make it. I expect the Utes to come out pumped for warmups. I know they gave SDSU a good first half but I expect BYU to go up by 20+ during the game and win by high teens.
