Update: I woke up this morning and am no longer concerned about this game. Should be a big win for BYU. Utah stinks, the players and fans have given up on the coach, they cant shoot the ball, their big man is fairly inept, and they lack depth. Sorry, just being honest!

If BYU were to win out, they probably get a 2 seed. If they lose today, then go on to win out, I think the ceiling would be around a 4.

BYU is favored by 12.5 tonight. This is by far the largest road favorite this rivalry has had in the past 6 years (arbitrary stopping point, since I got bored of researching).

The other 10 point spreads during that time were both BYU at home:

2010 -13.5. BYU won 82-69

I agree here - this is a classic trap game in college basketball.

It's not a trap game because BYU is not looking ahead. Or at least they have no reason to be looking ahead to TCU, who they don't play for another week.

I would be interested in that too. The reason I stopped where I did, was because that was what was shown on covers matchup main page. I didn't have the time to go back for the full decade like I did here or to look at point spreads like I have elsewhere
