Man, that was great. A few quick observations:

Jimmer is THE MAN.

Utah played fine. They were more than adequate offensively and if BYU shoots 20% instead of 60% from 3-point land they are right in that game. I think the talent at Utah is decent, just young.

Boylen will be gone. I didn't realize there would be so many empty seats and how all the Ute fans hate him. A few around me were hoping toward the end that it would be especially humiliating just to put the nail in Boylen's coffin (I really don't think that's necessary). I honestly think the Utes should give Boylen a few more years.

There were posters and other Ute basketball paraphernalia on tables in the Huntsman Center (agreed DDD, a dump) that was free for the taking and nobody wanted it.

I was in the middle of about 50 Utes and one of the little red basketballs the Ute cheerleaders were throwing flew right to me. Kind of symbolic. I gave it to a poor little Ute fan because I felt so bad for him.

Great interview with Jimmer on CBL. Gave props and shoutout to TJ! Man that kid is ridiculous. I am just happy that the mtn. has released video to the other sports outlets to show highlights.

That was a fun game. So glad I went. How many times is my son going to see a BYU cougar go off for 47 points? Unbelievable.

We were seating in Section DD (just below DDD in DDD), which was all BYU fans. At halftime, a group of about 6 Ute fan students came and sat right in the middle of our section and right next to me. I don't think it ended up nearly as fun for them as they thought it was going to be.

Props to the Cougar fans tonight for calling Jimmer's half-court shot.

Wow. That was awesome. BYU the lead story on Sportscenter. Andy Katz doing highlights with SVP. Then SVP interview Jimmer for 5 minutes. A solid 8 minutes on BYU and Jimmer.

This was my first time attending any type of rivalry contest between these two schools. I was surprised at how civil the Ute fans were. In fact, you could just tell that they were deflated and apathetic about the whole affair.

BYU fans looked to make up about 1/4-1/3 of the total attendance, but they ended up being the louder fan base at the game. It was so awesome at the end when the Huntsman Center was rocking to the chant of "We want 50".

Jimmer is absolutely sick nasty. The kid is a killer. Got home in time to catch Sportscenter. Love the publicity and how he represented in the interview. Great kid who is just so easy to like.

Agreed. The only time I saw a few Ute fans get fired up was when Jimmer came back into the game with around 3 minutes left.

One old guy near me was freaking out and seemed to be calling for Clyburn to "sweep the leg" of Jimmer to teach Rose a lesson.

I really hope Hill has already sent out feelers to Gillespie and Theus and if either is willing to take the job, I don't see any reason to not pull the trigger now.

Not sure I like the comparison to Adam Morrison, though. Time will tell. I could see Jimmer anywhere along the spectrum as far as NBA career: from ending up barely making an NBA team and never playing like Morrison to eventually being a role player like J.J. Redick, to having a career as good as Andre Miller's. Who knows, but I hope he succeeds at the next level.

Katz actually clarified his comments in his tweets. He said he's not comparing the play, just the battle for NPOY between two great scorers on opposite sides of the country. One from a mid major and the other a national power.
