  • Ryan Greene of the Vegas Sun says it's a 7 year deal for Kruger. Yowza. I think it's pretty clear why Utah is down to Krysto and Gottfried.

For some of us, it was always clear why Utah was never really looking at anything besides gottfried or krystkowiak
      Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

      • I hope Hill at least attempts to interview Gregg Marshall. He was reportedly in the mix at OU.

        • Are any of our resident ute fans now wondering whether you should have just kept Boylen for another year?

What candidates? Chris Hill has not talked to anyone yet.

It's only been 3 weeks since he was fired.

Sure, the Ute program is down and their facilities stink and the fans have unrealistic expectations and don't go to the games, but the bigger issue is the money. You're not going to get a high level coach with D1 experience to leave for what Utah is offering.

I know Hill wants D1 experience but I think going the assistant route is the better option at this point. Doug Gottlieb tweeted yesterday that Wojo wants the Utah job.

I'll be honest; I thought with the firing so close to the end of the season that Hill would have had some confidence in his mind about being able to fill the position. At this point that is obviously not the case.

I spoke with a former player yesterday. There is a lot of support for hiring Connors among former players, at least from when he was an assistant under Majerus.

                        • Keeping Boylen around would have just been delaying the inevitable and punting another recruiting class. No, Hill made the right move.

I could be wrong but I don't buy the Krystkowiak rumors. There's no reason he wouldn't be hired by now if he was the guy. Lya just tweeted that he's still in NJ with the Nets.

When is signing day for this year? Isn't it in a few weeks? Without a head coach this year's recruiting class is likely to be just as bad as if Boylen had been kept around.

No worries. When I first read it I was dumbfounded. A very good April fool's.

George Matthews is the only signee. He hasn't decommitted...yet.
