We need to be scoring in the mid 70s to be in a good position to win and we will be lucky to hit 60 tonight.

Egor had the type of game tonight I've been hoping for all season. Very, very, very good. Exciting to see. Hopefully he's dialing in.Originally posted by Joe Public View PostEgor showed some really nice things in the first half.
Let’s see if BYU can actually maintain its obligatory first half lead in a conference game.
Team played very well. Two good games in a row. Don't play with my feelings!Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

BYU beats Cincinnati by 28 at home thanks to a huge second half (and a 3P by Denim right before HT). Hopefully this is Denim turning the corner and getting his mojo back (btw I loved the close-up on his face after he hit a 2nd half 3P where he was wrinkling his nose, but still looked super serious and dialed in lol). Cincinnati has two of the nation's top dunkers, but BYU forced them to take 3Ps and they could not hit them. BYU shot lights out - 57.1% / 62.5% / 81.8%. Hopefully we didn't use up all of our good shooting in one night! Oh, and can ESPN please get their network sorted out? Second game in a row where almost 10 minutes of game time was not shown. They had a message saying that it was being streamed on the ESPN app, but not on the Roku. Finally found it on the app on my phone thanks to a comment in the reddit game thread. The ESPN Roku app just had a message dispalying "the event has not yet started" even though the game had.
Egor Demin gets Player of the Game, for the 5th time, but the first in conference play. I was yelling for him not to take that last second three at the end of the first half, but it went in, and then he was a different player in the second half. He had the best PER, TS% (hitting 6/7 FTs helped bring up the score), ORtg, and DRtg. Anytime someone can be top in Offensive Rating and Defensive Rating, even if the formulas are a bit sus, that's just amazing. Saunders gets the best GSc so there's an argument to be made that he was our best player tonight. They were both great. Mabye we make them co - Players of the Game? Richie has really improved his jump shot, but he doesn't just settle for that.
Mawot Mag gets the Struggled to Perform, for the second time. Its weird, I loved him off the bench, but now that's he's starting, I feel that he's struggling. 0 assists to 3 TOs, ouch. He had the worst PER and ORtg. Hall had the worst GSc and he also continues to struggle. I understand he's not a true shooting guard, but he's not looking for his shot at all. At least he had 3 assists to 1 TO. Since he only took 2 shots, he didn't qualify for the TS%. Saunders gets the worst TS%, but at 65.9%, that's actually freaking awesome. The fact that that was our lowest TS% of all players that took at least 3 shots is amazing. Baker had the worst DRtg, but even that was only a tad over 100 (average, I think). Overall, we played some elite defense tonight.
The season summary PER average has been updated and Saunders is back up to second place, passing up Foos. Top 5 are Demin / Saunders / Traore / Keita / Knell.
BYU is now 13-6 (4-4) and #31 in Kenpom and was #43 in NET coming into today. Cincinnati is now #53 in Kenpom and was #41 in NET. As a home game, this is a Q2 win. Up next is Baylor, who is 13-6 (5-3) and #26 in Kenpom and was #29 in NET. As a home game, this will currently be a Q1 game, but just barely. Let's go get that win!!

I, for one, really enjoyed that game. I am hoping for many more like it in the coming weeks."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

I'm only showing the last 10 games for the summary, but I'm calculating it based off of all 19 games. Does that answer it? So, for Demin, he had some amazing first few games against very easy OOC foes, and I've just hidden those games for viewing, otherwise, it would be very hard to see the entire thing.Originally posted by BigFatMeanie View Postbyufan4ever, how are you calculating that 16.20 AVE PER for Demin? When I average the numbers in his row, it doesn't come close to 16.20."Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react." - Charles Swindoll

I am excited about tomorrow's game with Baylor. Will be a good test to see if the recent success the team has had represents a real change."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
