      LOL.

I watched a few minutes and can confirm I didn't see a single missed shot!

This has a twilight zone feel to it.

I'm extremely optimistic about the future of BYU hoops. We have all the talent we could ever need.

But some how, some way, this feels like it's going to backfire.

          Lol. Fans are so neurotic.

Good hell, man. Let yourself enjoy it. For a day or two at least.

Sorry if this has been linked already, but Fan Insider's collection of reactions across the country is a fun read, including my favorite from Matt Brown:

We live in a world where BYU’s QB is Jewish and their basketball team just grabbed the number one basketball recruit. I’m going to have to update my jokes, perhaps my entire worldview. WHAT IS HAPPENING
My initial reaction to paying a huge NIL for Dybantsa was that it probably wasn't worth it, especially for a one-and-done. But given the national exposure already which will likely only increase in the coming months, and the fact that AJ;s name will forever be associated with BYU his commitment has immeasurable potential benefits.

So how much is BYU NIL and how much is outside NIL? I heard an analyst point out that the total may be $7 million, with around half of that from BYU NIL and the rest from outside sources (like Red Bull, Nike, etc.). Is somewhere between $3 million and $4 million too huge for the #1 recruit and likely #1 draft pick? Seems like a lot to me, but I have no frame of reference.
                  Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

What would it cost BYU to buy the publicity and reputation boost and ticket/merch sales they’re about to get? Far more than whatever their share of $4 million is.

I agree with you. Was just wondering what people thought.

I heard KY saying that the other schools offered similar levels of NIL, so that was a wash. It sounds like AJ and family wanted to be at BYU. This is the world in which we live and it's nice to be able to compete.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Distraction-free preparation for the NBA. Basketball school where your son can get a head start on his career and be taken care of. KY is a genius.

Still feels so surreal, like we’re being pranked.
