My initial reaction to paying a huge NIL for Dybantsa was that it probably wasn't worth it, especially for a one-and-done. But given the national exposure already which will likely only increase in the coming months, and the fact that AJ;s name will forever be associated with BYU his commitment has immeasurable potential benefits.

I heard an analyst point out that the total may be $7 million, with around half of that from BYU NIL and the rest from outside sources (like Red Bull, Nike, etc.). I heard KY saying that the other schools offered similar levels of NIL, so that was a wash. It sounds like AJ and family wanted to be at BYU. This is the world in which we live and it's nice to be able to compete.

Distraction-free preparation for the NBA. Basketball school where your son can get a head start on his career and be taken care of. KY is a genius.
