For more info on him, above is a link to a VTF article.
Mboup is an uber-athletic forward that can play both the 3 and 4. He excels in transition as someone that can get downhill to the basket and also has range out the three point line. Mboup’s rebounding ability also allows him to play the four."Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react." - Charles Swindoll

This weekend, if I have time, I'm going to try to do some roster analysis. I think we have a really strong quality team, it just remains to be seen how they play together, and how our coaches "coach.""I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

Welp, this is crazy, the good kind of crazy.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Here is my breakdown of the BYU basketball team coaching staff. The player roster breakdown won't happen for a couple of weeks (about to go on vacation).
BYU Basketball 2024-25
Coaching Staff
Kevin Young – Played at Middle Georgia and Clayton State. Not much to talk about there. Coached at UVU and various NBA D/G League teams (Utah/Iowa/Delaware) before making it into the NBA where he made his mark as one of the league’s top assistants. I will say I thought it was kinda funny during his introductory speech when he said that one of the reasons why he came to Provo was to spend more time with his family. Uh, I don’t think college coaches work less hours than NBA coaches. If anything, more because the recruiting never stops, right? I was really unsure about this hire initially, but the staff and players that he’s been able to bring into the program in such a short amount of time seems really promising.
Will Voigt – He has two years of college coaching experience, but it was 20+ years ago and most of his experience is in the minor professional leagues (domestic and international). He hasn’t coached in the NBA yet, but he has said his goal is to be an NBA coach. Is he a BYU guy? No. But he’s ambitious and I like that.
Brandon Dunson – Unlike Voigt, Dunson has only coached at the collegiate level. I think this is a good thing and his experience at schools such as Nevada and Stanford will be extremely valuable to Young who is very green when it comes to college basketball. He’s known as a great recruiter and definitely helped us land 4-star point guard Elijah Crawford.
Chris Burgess – Played for Utah, coached at BYU, coached at Utah, and is now back coaching at BYU. He’s LDS which I do think is important and is known as a great local recruiter, especially with LDS kids. But I wonder how long he will be here. Probably until the Utah head coaching job opens up…
Tim Fanning – Has international coaching experience, but his biggest factor may be his high school experience with Overtime Elite, which is a league for 16-20 year-olds. He coached Kanon Catchings and that is undoubtedly why he signed with BYU.
John Linehan – Played at Providence and ended his career as the all-time D1 leader in steals. His senior year he averaged 4.5 steals per game!! His resume is all at the college level although he did work under Young one summer for the Delaware 87ers. His connections are mostly on the east coast.
This is a very diverse staff and they’ve already started to pay some dividends in the short-term with bringing in some hyped talented players. Now we need to see how well they can coach. And how long will these coaches be around? It’s good for Young to surround himself with talented and ambitious coaches, but that does mean that most will probably be moving on after a few years. Hopefully one or two will stick around for some stability.
Question: who are the BYU and/or LDS up-and-coming basketball coaches that could be potentially considered for an assistant role in a few years? I think it’s good to always have one of those on the staff.

82 game schedule vs 30 games? 42 road games vs maybe 12? Sure, recruiting takes time, but not enough to make up the difference in that gap.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
