          • Haha. SU cares more about holding down BYU's recruiting ranking than BYU fans care about pumping it up. That's a strange way to approach sports fandom but you do you SU!

SU, when you see the "5-stars" column for BYU updated from 0 to 1, then we will know the positioning is accurate.

              • The next two years of play and recruiting are going to be enormously interesting to me. Where this new approach goes is something I think about a lot. In these two seasons BYU has 5 RMs who will use up their eligibility, barring a redshirt season for Dallin Hall or Richie Saunders. I think the only RM scheduled to join the program over that period is Brooks Bahr. Right now the only LDS kids scheduled to be on the roster in 26-27 season is Brody Kozlowski and Brooks Bahr. I know Burgess in the '25 class is LDS, and a mission first kid, and my understanding is Dean Ruekert is LDS and likely a mission first kid as well-so there are two likely prospects that will be in the pipeline on missions when that day comes. BYU is also recruiting 3 other Utah kids in the class of '26 in Sondrup, Anthony Felesi and Junior County-no clue on their religious preferences or mission plans if LDS. My instincts is BYU lands both Burgess and Ruekert, but it would be really weird to only have 1 RM and only 1 other LDS kid on BYU with 2 signed prospects on missions. Obviously, there could/will be changes to plans over the next two years and then there is the increase to 15 scholarships, but I might be as interested in this approach as I am in the results.

                  Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

The lifelong fan in me cannot really process this. It feels like Lucy is still gonna pull the football somehow.
