I think that was partly because he was enrolled at Utah for 1 semester(and played a few games IIRC) and transferred for the spring to BYU. He had to sit a year, but couldn't use a redshirt to do it because of the transfer rules in the WAC.

That's right. It wasn't really 2 years, but with his read shirt, he could have not lost any eligibility had he transferred out of the MWC.

That is how I understood it. That was also a main reason that Robbie Reid transferred to Michigan instead of Utah(I can't recall how close that actually was but it was the deal killer for Utah).

Hawkins was a fantastic player and his exodus was the beginning of the end of the Giacoletti era. Anyone who claims that Majerus left the cupboard bare is crazy. There was a lot of talent on that team when Majerus left.

Majerus left a full cupboard, possibly his most highly recruited team.

Second guy UCLA has lost this year.

He's from Dallas, must be homesick (reading between the lines).

If any of you have ever played for a bad chemistry team, its a friggin miserable experience. But when it goes away the feeling is so good, the team makes a massive improvement. Right now I expect that with the Utes.

And if I'm wrong our coaching options will be Tommy Connor, Juddy and Donnie Daniels maybe. I think I'd go with Donnie.
My nipples are now hard. Anyone remember the cancer cell chats after each of the BYU football season 02-04?

I had a friend I like back then who liked to say "fish stink starts at the head."

Further, a couple of weeks ago Carlon was not part of the cancer cell that has now been exposed. In fact now that Boylen had brought in the chemo Carlon was going to blossom like the rose. Now it is "known" that Carlon was included in the cancer cell. I think Ute fans, much like BYU fans back in those dark days, find cancers in two directions. One is seniors and the other are transfers. The cancer argument is such balm of gilead to the wounded soul of the sports fanatic!

Crim, I am not enjoying this as much as I should be and it is because of how you never tried to torment BYU fans during our trip through the valley of death. I respected your warnings to your fellow Utes that their joyful exuberance and potential nocturnal emissions, at the expense of BYU's football program, could come back to bite them. I respected your caution and reserve and feel that I should recipricate in kind.

                      God bless you.

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

I'd venture that most people know this phrase without having to consult google. However, you also thought that "dressed to the knives" was the appropriate phraseology so maybe I'm overestimating my peers.

I think indy coug linked a recent post on CB wherein someone thought that a favorable development "bolds" well for BYU.
