    I agree!

Don't forget the government obtaining an ownership stake in private companies.

Do you think that when someone complains about government overreach, pointing out additional instances of government overreach will somehow make them forget about government overreach?

Not sure I follow your logic here...

No real meaningful point to make. Just observing that we aren’t stating from mile 0. We are already a few miles into this journey.

Is using the term overreach suggesting that Mamdani is calling for public ownership of all major industries in New York? Because that is not his platform. He has stated he wants to expand social services but also maintain a capitalist economy. So, yes, he is a democratic socialist, but not a pure socialist and or communist (and whether he and his platform is good or bad for New York, we will find out).

I guess then, the idea of "overreach" is complex. On the one hand, we willingly accept "overreach" in the sense we support public school, prison and transportation systems, along with utilities, transit, air and water ports, and land management, lotteries and even some banking and financial entities that can grant mortgages etc.

So, what exactly is meant by the term overreach?

You will notice that Mike Lee has been completely silent about the Tucker Carlson/Nick Fuentes/Heritage Foundation controversy. Total coward.

Go away you freak. Keep BYU's name out of your mouth.

                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Mike Lee is up for reelection in 2028. I hope by that point the trollish identity of the GOP is on the fritz and a moderate can primary him. He has legitimately lost his mind.

Keep hoping buddy. He need GOP voters to push back on this shit before any change comes. One of the problems has been the outright refusal on the right of cancelling anyone under the guise of being anti-woke, Donald Trump being front and center but see Tucker Carlson, Lauren Boebert, Benny Johnson, Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, Candice Owens, Mypillowguy, The J6 seditionists, I could go on and on, and this is not a both-sides applicable situation. In fact this is a MAGA specific characteristic. It's rendered them scandal proof.

GOP voters have to change that. It won't just whither away.

I wish Bridgewater had the guts to put an ad showing Lee's unhinged rant at the convention in 2010 during their primary. That rant came super close to there not being a primary. I don't know how good of a senator Bridgewater would have been, but couldn't have been worse than Lee.
