This morning I heard (on KSL - Ha!) that if Trump wins the election, he has Mike Lee and his brother Thomas (I think that's the name) on his short list for potential supreme court nominations in the future.

I don't know Thomas - but this announcement should cost Trump a few more votes than it will.

Everything that Mike Lee ever does can be explained if you assume that there's a line in his patriarchal blessing that leads him to believe he will be a Supreme Court justice.

I was registered as an independent before this happened. It propelled me to register as a GOP so I would have a say in such things.

Bennett was a good man. His father, Wallace F, was also a good man (even though some people thought he was Deep Throat).

Jim Bennet, Bob's son, is also a nice guy but hasn't seemed to have the gravitas and political heft that his father or grandfather had. I'm sure there are those among us that follow in the footsteps of great fathers and grandfathers and know what it's like to balance being your own man while living up to the expectations people have of you because of your heritage.

Jim is still active in the United Utah Party, which I've thought about joining. I don't know why I haven't joined yet. United Utah is about as good as my current independent affiliation at the moment so I might as well up and join.
