Interesting view. Seems everyone has to go through a spike then you are done. The only anomaly is Louisiana.

Agree that everywhere is going to get their turn. Less populated places will typically be last. When you see a state start to have a second wave, it would be good to know if the cases are coming from an area that wasn't hit or hit lightly if the first wave. To me, that wouldn't be a second wave.

The country that I world like to know what is happening in is Iran. They have what appears to be a second wave that is worse than the first wave.

Videos like that contribute to it being a point of contention. I'm all for masks indoors and where social distancing isn't possible, but confronting people who are outdoors where transmission rates are low is obnoxious and divisive.

Older Children Spread the Coronavirus Just as Much as Adults, Large Study Finds

A large new study from South Korea offers an answer: Children younger than 10 transmit to others much less often than adults do, but the risk is not zero. And those between the ages of 10 and 19 can spread the virus at least as well as adults do.

The findings suggest that as schools reopen, communities will see clusters of infection take root that include children of all ages, several experts cautioned.

“I fear that there has been this sense that kids just won’t get infected or don’t get infected in the same way as adults and that, therefore, they’re almost like a bubbled population,” said Michael Osterholm, an infectious diseases expert at the University of Minnesota.

“There will be transmission,” Dr. Osterholm said. “What we have to do is accept that now and include that in our plans.”

The accelerating spread has derailed what many businesses had hoped would be a smooth transition to normal levels of activity. “The real endpoint is the biology,” Gary Burnison, CEO of executive-search firm Korn Ferry, said on an earnings call this month.

-14 day quarantine can probably be reduced to 10 days. Infectious virus isn't found in nasal passages after 10 days of onset of symptoms.
-High-risk household and other contact exposure doesn't seem to lead to infection if contact happened 6 days after onset of symptoms. This is because the concentration of virus in nasal passages rapidly decreases after onset of symptoms.
-Reinfection still hasn't bee documented.

I read this a few days ago about Sarah Gilbert and the Oxford vaccine. She seems confident that it's going to be safe and will work well enough (80% efficacy).
