How can you even tell if people are or aren't social distancing with a ground level picture? The ones in the foreground look fine to me. Perspective can be a tricky thing.

I think if given the opportunity, many people will act responsibly and still socially distance themselves. We have already witnessed this, and that gives me hope. As you state, spikes will occur and there is no way to avoid them. The lock down can't go on indefinitely. Decisions now need to be left to the local community level.

Just as the Governors wanted and legally have the right to control their economies instead of the federal government, they now need to trust counties etc. to control their communities and economies.

Good grief. SU, you seem to be incapable of having a respectful, rational discussion on this topic. If you can't engage in this thread without constantly resorting to these dumb personal attacks, they maybe you should take a break for a while.

I don't think they're ALL like the doctors. They can be every flavor of science deniers on the spectrum, but share the video anyway because "they make some good points." Isn't that implied? You like to create quagmires within arguments rather than address the actual issue.

I definitely sympathize- I know it's impossible to be given an indefinite orders to stay at home with no relief in sight. Clearly that's not viable. I think the test being widely available in L.A. county is tangible progress that other people in CA can take hope in that the virus will be tracked and controlled soon, and with constant updates. If they had no testing but were just going to go on as unprepared as we were in February, I'd be a little more up in arms.

I seem incapable of having a rational discussion? Irony. People who question the lockdown aren't "progressive" and don't believe in science and lack empathy. That's rational? It's not. Which is my only point. As for rational, Omaha and I were the ones here who introduced questioning of lockdowns, closing beaches, etc. on liberty, economic, scientific, and common sense principles. That these are legitimate issue for discussion has been vindicated.

But for us, originally this place was a groupthink. Shutdown forever and only the hot dog vendors will be hurt. And you were enforcing the mind control, with your gross bullying slam dunk icon.

And tooblue can take my joking, believe me.

Don't worry. I don't feel picked on. Nor am I in a bad mood. I don't come here when I'm in a bad mood.

Are you sure—maybe Robin has been hiding in plain sight all this time, and all the petitioning is a plea to take on yo... er, I mean his original persona?

To answer the OP, I’m going to start panicking when my senior in high school is not in Provo in the fall. We bought a MUCH smaller house, partially in anticipation of our shrinking family, and there’s not enough room for all 7 of us.
