6 guys plotted to storm the capital and take the governor hostage. They were discovered and arrested by the FBI. Thousands of leftist criminals burned hundreds of businesses across the nations causing billions in damage. The left, and specifically Biden, didn't condemn the violence for many days. Amusing that you would say Biden would never give a wink and a nod to Antifa. That's basically what the entire left did after the Floyd video surfaced.

They are both awful. But one was a weak plot by a few dumbasses that was never going to happen. The other actually left the lives of thousands of people in ruins. So yeah, I have no problem comparing the two.

This isn't only or even mostly to you SMR:

The rioting was not the exclusive domain of Antifa. A lot of pissed off Black Americans who've been shit on by our criminal justice system were involved, and outside of places like Portland and Seattle, are sometimes responsible for more of it. Of course some shithead Anarchists who like to fuck shit up care more about destruction than social justice. And the Anarchists (I'm sure I'll get snarky replies for this distinction) who care more about social justice than destruction don't hold sway over the hooligans. Not all Antifa are anarchists. Heather Heyer who was ran over by a Nazi was Antifa.

The last dramatic action of major instance of senseless rioting from these types of people that folks on here might be familiar with were the WTO riots in Seattle. When black bloc (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_bloc) destroyed property and acted like it was heroic.

Occupy Wall Street involved the same types of people (interestingly enough, it also launched the careers of several altrighters) and despite Breitbart's rant was pretty harmless.

Antifa isn't protecting or calming communities, and their heavy presence in certain cities have turned into magnets for fascists.
In short not all the rioting was the fault of Antifa, and there isn't some kind or organized campaign, or structure for such a thing. It would also be ridiculously easy to penetrate those circles as there aren't membership requirements of dues to pay, just go and protest fascism.

Most people will outgrow radical politics as they are inflexible and life tends to moderate us all, but this is a different age.

People should be familiar with fringe political forces, left and right, as they are impacting us more than ever, but relying on talk radio or twitter or Trumpist outlets to educate you will keep you ill-informed.

Their plot to kidnap the Governor was still a long way from being ready and was going no where. I fail to see the comparison to the Oklahoma City bombings. The OKC bombers were secretive, lone wolf, anti-government white supremacists. These were bumbling gun owners who didn't like the governor's over zealous Covid shutdown.
