He reminds me of my dad in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. Also reminds me of the early Biden years.

Remind you of anyone or anything?

      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Agreed. I'm curious to find out how much pushback from maga world or from Evangelicals there will be when the conversation is about considering this to be a hate crime.

Interesting also that this guy said his cousin played football for BYU. That aside, the guy being interviewed comes across as normal and credible.

His obsession with winning the Nobel prize is fascinating to me (I assume that’s what this nonsense is about).

I haven't watched Hegseth's speech, only short video blurbs. So far, I haven't seen anything with which I disagree.

I haven't watched any of the speeches.

It reminds me of a work gathering that I participated in last year. We have several satellite offices and because of feedback, our group decided to bring us all together at the headquarters of the company to feel connected. Much of the time we got speeches and discussions with the top executives in our group. The feedback I offered, and that came from a lot of the group was that we can watch these speeches over zoom. No need to bring us all together for this. We would rather spend the time interacting with our peers in person.

We are doing it again this year. I hope the feedback was taken to heart.

I don't know a lot about what is going on today with the military gathering. But if they flew in a bunch of people in to hear speeches and nothing else, it seems like a big waste of time, money, and energy.

Impeachable offense number I forgot. Openly telling the military leadership to use US cities for war games:

A few references of 'the enemy within' for good measure also. And looking at the Times/Siena poll today, although unpopular overall, his approval numbers have been steady for months. After all this. Just utterly depressing.

"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

I read that .04% of Army officers achieve the rank of general. Adding enlisted, that number is obviously smaller. Can you imagine working for three decades to build a resume—ensuring your personal and professional background are pristine—to lead thousands of men and women in protecting the US and allies worldwide. And then to be summoned by these two. That’s commitment to the chain of command.

Yeah, it's got to be pretty disheartening. And summoned for what?

For this meeting (is this from the meetings with all generals/admirals)

I have family members who represent these people exactly. All of them are on board with the current admin.
