So, it is not insensitive, and it is sanctimonious to say otherwise. LOL ... I don't think you know what the word means. Being sensitive to the fact the salute represents the deaths of six million people does not make one morally superior.

You are on the wrong side of history on this.

    • This is pretty evil.

It's just so sad that MAGA folks can get a front row seat to watch these people in distress.

      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

That represents a pretty large voting block, and likely a large part of his base. I expect to see these problems get cleared up shortly.

Hopefully. Just chalk this one up to gross incompetence? What a fiasco.

So, where should the focus be? How does the opposition highlight the negative impacts? And is there an audience willing to listen?

This tweet is instructive. No workers in a development, no construction getting done. The tweeter assumes it's because the workers are in hiding, avoiding ICE. The negative impact is obvious: people's homes are not getting built, delayed inventory in the market, pressure on rising prices as a result. But look at the comments. People are happy. "Way to go Trump!" "Let the fired DEI workers do this work!" MAGA appears to want chaos for some reason.

The real consequences won't be realized by these people for some time. By that time they'll be on to some other fantasy.

It's all MAGA fun and games until the economy crashes.

            • The Republican #3 guy in the House cheers Trump on in his attempts to destroy Constitutional separation of powers!

This is possibly too nerdy or whatever the right word is for some Americans to catch on to, but only Congress has the Constitutional authority to allocate where the money goes. The president doesn't have the right to pause most all spending previously allocated by law and choose to spend it a different way. It's actually a pretty big deal. No Mr Emmer, Trump was not elected to do this.

Republican #3 may be cheering, but Federal Judge #1 has called a halt to the insanity.

So now I'm wondering if Congress will change the way they fund the government next time around, giving the Executive more latitude in how they spend the money. Congress is controlled by the GOP, after all.

Speaking as one who spends a lot of money, that would open a can of worms.

They would first need to actually pass a budget. Haven't we been on CRs for some time now?

Yeah, so maybe the next CR they change it up. Probably just needs a blurb or two to give Trump the ability to change the color of money as needed--you know, in case of national security or some other high bar to clear.

I cannot believe how heartless and insensitive these people are. I am shaking with rage!

You have got some serious goggles on if you think those are anywhere close to the same thing as what Elon did. And now you’re quoting an insurrection Barbie? Has Ted taken over your account?
