So I have had this thought a few times over the past week: the disaster in Puerto Rico gave DJT a golden opportunity to push back some on the perception that he hates Hispanics (and minorities in general). The island desperately needs aid anyway, and we obviously need to provide it. He could hitch his crazy wagon to the relief effort and give daily updates, making sure that everything that is needed for recovery is provided. Instead he virtually ignores the crisis and spends his time picking fights with rich, popular athletes (most of whom are black) and the most popular professional sports league in America. It's nuts.

And then when he finally tweets about PR, he still has to throw an insult:

Furthermore: "It may not be obvious to the media, but one of the difficulties in getting supplies to Puerto Rico is that it's an island 1200+ nautical miles from Miami, the closest major U.S. port. Clearing the ports takes time, and getting supplies for 3.4 million people by plane into devastated airports isn't a real option."

And yet Tom Brady said he didn't agree with Trump on this. Maybe he wants it both ways for marketing purposes.

I personally think that Puerto Rico should get representation in DC (i.e., become a state). If not, we should allow them to become part of Cuba or something.

I didn't read about the travel ban this morning. Trump has added Chad. Chad is not an extremist terrorist state. They are very active in Western and Central Africa at fighting terrorists. We've trained their soldiers, conducted military exercises with them and have a small but important military presence there. Chad works really close with the French, who despite surrender monkey jokes, have been vital in combating terrorism in their sphere of influence.

He added Chad but took off their rival Sudan. Makes zero fucking sense. Just more evidence of this president's dishitery. So glad killary lost!

Does Venezuela really need to be on there either? I mean are you really telling me that there is a terror threat from people there, or are they just a country with a leader we don't like and a bunch of Spanish speakers, so no good.

You guys may be missing what TeamTrump is up to here. You saw, I assume, that the S.Ct cancelled oral argument on the travel ban? And what was one of the primary criticisms of the ban? That it was focused only on unfriendly, muslim countries. Except, now it isn't. See?

I have never understood how some place that has more people than Utah doesn't have a representative or senator in congress. Maybe Utah shouldn't have a representative or senator either.
